Conservative commentator Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and New York City cop, has launched the Bongino Report, an alternative to the Drudge Report.

“Drudge has abandoned you. I NEVER will. Check out, and bookmark, the Bongino Report today,” Bongino tweeted on Wednesday, which was the official launch of his site. Bongino Report launches as Drudge Report faces more and more criticism from conservatives for moving further and further left. The site has been accused lately of having an increasing bias against President Donald Trump.

In another Wednesday tweet, Bongino promised that Bongino Report will “only be promoting REAL NEWS. No fake news, no propaganda, only strong conservative content!”

Bongino Report has a similar setup to Drudge. Its headlines link back to everything from AP News to John Solomon Reports. The major sections of the website include: Top Stories, Election 2020, The Impeachment Witch Hunt, Culture War, Economy, Immigration, and All the Rest. The site also has a section that links to YouTube videos by commentators like John Stossel.

Many conservatives showed support for Bongino’s Drudge alternative at its launch.

Bongino, a frequent guest on shows like “Fox & Friends” and “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” began testing Bongino Report last month before its official launch on Wednesday. The Twitter account for the site already has 35,000 followers.

Bongino Report certainly has room to succeed as so many conservatives have grown critical of the increasingly anti-Trump Drudge Report, a site that used to be essential reading for many conservative news junkies.

“[I]s Drudge beginning to turn on President Trump?” Fox News host Jesse Watters rhetorically asked on his show earlier this month. “Many people keep asking me about this. I get texts, ‘Did you notice this? What’s up with Drudge.’ So we started to look into it.”

Watters went on to present a report that found the Drudge Report was posting more and more negative Trump headlines this year.

Conservative commentator Michelle Malkin has also taken aim at Drudge Report in the past and questioned their coverage of conservatives in the past.

The Washington Times reported that Drudge’s readership has taken a hit this year too. “From July to October, Drudge dropped from 96 million total visits to 77 million,” The Times reported.

That report also revealed that several conservative alternatives to Drudge have been on the rise in viewership this year.
