Larry Sumpter hijacked his daughter’s social media accounts for two weeks as a punishment and his antics have gone viral.

The Texas teenager saw her parents commandeer her Instagram, Snapchat and Tik Tok accounts as punishment for helping sneak boys into a recent sleepover party, and the silly videos and other posts that followed have been a big hit.

“This is Maddi. Maddi got herself grounded,” read the caption of an Instagram photo on her page. “She had a choice of no phone for a month or no phone for 2 weeks and we have FULL control of her social media. She chose 2 weeks. So be on the look out for some amazing instagram posts, snap chats and Tiktoks from her parents!!”

Sumpter and wife Tawnya Ford appeared on “Fox & Friends,” along with their son and daughter Aiden and Madelynn, to discuss their unusual punishment and efforts to embarrass Maddie — albeit in a good-natured manner.

For what it’s worth, Maddie, a high school sophomore, said that while she had some reservations about her choice of punishment at first, she no longer regrets the decision.

Then again, why would she now that dad has made her a de facto social media celebrity, garnering more attention than a teen could ever hope for.

“After the first day, Madelynn was like, ‘I changed my mind, I choose the one month. Larry told her, ‘No. I’m too invested.’ I have too many ideas. We’re sticking with the two weeks,’” Ford recalled. “He’s loving it. I think he’s going to make his own TikTok account when this over.”

“We’re always down to embarrass our kids!” she joked.

When asked for a final word on the matter, Madelynn offered testimony suggesting the punishment had the desired effect.

“Make better choices,” she told “Fox & Friends.”

As for the videos, which Ford took credit for being the brain trust of, they are absolutely hilarious —most include the hashtag #MakeBetterChoices.

Here’s one from Instagram where dad showcases his somewhat dated fashion choices for his morning run:

Another post featured a photo of dad pondering: “I wonder what Maddi is doing without her phone.”

Not only did mom choreograph the funny videos, she got in on some of the fun. As did little brother Aiden.
