The liberal vultures most recently found congregating around the foul-smelling House Intelligence Committee impeachment inquiry hearings sensed a new source of potential rumor to chew on and regurgitate when President Trump made a surprise visit on Saturday to Walter Reed Medical Center for a checkup.

The White House and Trump himself announced the visit afterwards, giving assurances that the unscheduled trip was simply about taking advantage of a light schedule during the day and the opportunity to start taking care of some routine checkups as part of the president’s annual exam.

Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham told Jeanine Pirro on her Fox News program: “We’ve got a really busy year ahead as you can imagine, so the president decided to go to Walter Reed and get a head start with some routine checkups as part of his annual exam. That’s all it was, it was very routine. We had a down day today, so he made the decision to head there.”

Nonetheless, wild, vicious, sometimes bizarre speculation in social media quickly escalated after various news outlets reported the unexpected medical visit.

The delusional types had a field day, with their hopeful conjectures that the end was near for their misguided nightmares.

“He’s healthy as can be,” Grisham told Pirro. “I put a statement out about that. He has got more energy than anybody in the White House. That man works from 6:00 am until, you know, very, very late at night. He’s doing just fine.”

“He’s almost superhuman,” Pirro agreed.

Referring to the continual harassment from Democrats and the press, Pirro said: “I don’t know how anyone can deal with what he’s dealing with. I get frustrated with what’s going on in Washington.”

“The president remains healthy and energetic without complaints, as demonstrated by his repeated vigorous rally performances in front of thousands of Americans several times a week,” Grisham had written in a statement released Saturday night.

According to Politico, the president spent about two hours at Walter Reed, including time spent visiting with the family of a special forces soldier injured in Afghanistan. The president mentioned the visit to the medical center in a Saturday evening tweet.

Grisham took to Twitter to express her frustration with reporters and social media users who are far too eager to spread malicious, unfounded rumors.

The White House “will not release results of the president’s health until he completes all aspects of his annual physical,” Grisham told CNN. She added that Trump “also stopped by to say hello to the medical staff of Walter Reed, to share his thanks for all the outstanding care they provide to our Wounded Warriors, and wish them an early happy Thanksgiving.”
