CNN contributor claims viral doctored smear photo of Elise Stefanik at hearing was ‘believable’

CNN’s resident Never-Trumper Amanda Carpenter said she doesn’t understand why it was “damaging” to Elise Stefanik that leftists promoted a fake, doctored photo of the Republican Congresswoman flipping the bird during the Democrats’ sham impeachment hearing.

Carpenter cooed: “Why is the fake photo of Stefanik damaging? Bc it’s sort of believable in light of her somewhat obnoxious performance yesterday that drew massive backlash and generated fundraising for her opponent.”

This is the viral, doctored photo that leftists rabidly mass-retweeted this weekend. It caused George Conway — the unemployed-lawyer husband of White House senior adviser Kellyanne Conway — to slam Elise Stefanik as “trash” on Twitter.

Stefanik is being viciously attacked on Twitter because of her effective questioning of pro-impeachment witnesses who gave testimony based on fourth-hand hearsay.

Elise Stefanik’s dismantling of the Democrats’ sham impeachment inquiry has made her a leftist target.

Not surprisingly, thousands of Twitter users blasted CNN contributor Amanda Carpenter for her callous attitude toward the defamation of Congresswoman Stefanik (just because Elise is pro-Trump).

One user wrote: “It’s not remotely believable. I don’t care if you don’t like what she did this week. That’s fine. But if you buy that photo, you’ve lost perspective.”

Another quipped: “So you’re saying it’s ‘fake but accurate?'”

Another Twitter user quipped: “You must be labeled as an embarrassment to political yapping.”

In 2017, CNN threatened and blackmailed a private citizen for creating a comical, doctored meme that mocked CNN.

Of course, the irony of Amanda Carpenter defending a doctored photo promoting a false left-wing narrative is hilariously ironic because she herself has been the victim of salacious rumors.

Carpenter is a former staffer for Republican Senator Ted Cruz. She was one of a number of RINOS who publicly — and repeatedly — declared in 2016 that she is a Never-Trumper who’d rather have Hillary Clinton be president than Donald Trump.

Carpenter rose to fame in 2016 amid reports that she had a sexual affair with her married boss.

Amanda denied those claims but never threatened to sue the tabloid that reported the rumor. Moreover, Carpenter never demanded a retraction.

Throughout the 2016 presidential campaign, Carpenter relentlessly attacked Donald Trump.

Amanda even wanted to doxx and blackball any conservative who supported Trump.

In 2017, Carpenter was torpedoed by Trump spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany — an attorney who went to Harvard Law School — who said Amanda should stop attacking Trump supporters like Ivanka Trump simply because she’s jealous of the beautiful blonde billionaire heiress.

At the time, Carpenter — who wrote for Cosmopolitan magazine — said Ivanka was totally unqualified for her White House job.

“Ivanka keeps trying to get these jobs that she’s not qualified for based on family connections,” Carpenter chirped. “And every time when she’s asked about President Trump’s poor track record towards women, she defends the bad conduct that he has exhibited in the past.”

Kayleigh McEnany said Carpenter should stop being petty and tearing other women down.

“We should really respect and try to build up other women and not tear them down because we’re envious of what they have,” McEnany told Carpenter.
