Joy Reid puts damper on ‘American food holiday’ Thanksgiving,’ mocks your dumb pro-Trump family members

With the Democratic Party about to come out from behind closed doors in the basement of the U.S. Capitol and take their impeachment inquisition before cameras this week, MSNBC’s Joy Reid beat the rush in assisting the party with their objective — shaping public opinion.

And doing so while attacking Thanksgiving.

“We’re just over two weeks away from one of the most beloved American food holidays,” the AM Joy host said Saturday in her opening remarks. “Thanksgiving, where problematic actual history meets delicious cuisine and many of you will be heading home to spend time are family and friends, eat a little too much and perhaps engage in a dreaded contentious political debate with your cranky uncle Rosco when he starts yelling, ‘Read the transcript!’ at the dinner table, between bites of turkey and pumpkin pie.

Reid proceeds to tell her low information viewers that she will help them get through it by telling them “everything you need to understand about impeachment.”

In effect, Reid says disregard the cast of characters and the fact that there is no real proof of quid pro quo — in the process, she betrays how she really feels about people.

Most people can’t say it, spell it or understand it,” she insisted. “Though it has become a kind of catchphrase for the media and Donald Trump and his defenders.”

Looking to simplify the task of planting guilt in the heads of any holdout viewers who haven’t already convicted Trump, the MSNBC host moves the goal post.

What we’re talking about is not a pithy Latin phrase. It’s something a lot simpler: Bribery and extortion.”

To support the assertion, Reid goes on to contort the facts involved so impressively that Houdini would be proud.

Not lost in Reid’s talking points is that the progressive left have decreed Thanksgiving — a time set aside for the country to thank God for our many blessings — as little more than a day marking our “problematic actual history.”

In the quest to “fundamentally transform” America, the left must do away with our founding institutions and our traditions — particular those that are God-oriented.

On Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” host Tucker Carlson did a segment on the “ludicrous” Huffington Post “demanding” that America cancel Thanksgiving — for the climate, of course.

“Cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes are bad for the planet, said the unhappy, rich kids at the Huff Po,” Carlson said.

Mark Steyn, a naturalized U.S. citizen, is featured responding to the entitled left trashing the holiday.

The British born conservative commentator noted that he loves Thanksgiving, while pointing out that it’s a big travel day as families make it a priority to be together.

“It is the biggest travel day of the year, because this is a big country. So grandparents in Florida end up with grandchildren in Alaska.”

Taking a plane in the process, naturally.

“And The Huffington Post says you shouldn’t be taking a plane,” Steyn observed. “You shouldn’t be eating a Turkey — eating a Turkey is bad for the planet. Even though it’s not as bad as one of these flatulent cows that AOC wants to slaughter.”

But it is not as good instead of having a stuffed Turkey,

“You should have some arugula stuffed with kale or kale stuffed with arugula. Makes no difference, taste just as lousy either way,” he added. “And you should not fly.”

He went on to detail billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s travel history before summing up what’s really at play here.

“The whole thing presupposes that there is a natural ruling class that is entitled to live differently from you,” Steyn posited. “Meanwhile at the time when the American family is increasingly atomized, the one time of the year that they all get together should be abolished.”
