Defending Don Jr, Kimberly heckles rude UCLA crowd right back: I bet you have to go online to get dates …

Donald Trump Jr. cut short a speech at UCLA to promote his new book after some rude audience members disrupted the event.

The son of President Donald Trump was joined on stage Sunday by his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, but left a short time after getting into his talk focusing on his book “Triggered: How The Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us.”

Trump-supporting attendees gave the guests a hearty welcome but some soon turned against the speakers when it was announced they would not be taking questions. Some of the more conservative members of the audience who had chanted “USA! USA!” when Trump Jr. first took the stage at the University of California lecture hall, soon began yelling, “Q&A! Q&A!” according to the Guardian.

The group of alleged “alt-right” activists became unruly no matter how much Trump Jr. tried to continue with his planned speech and defuse the discontent.

“Name a time when conservatives have disrupted even the furthest leftist on a college campus,” he told the crowd of about 450, apparently believing the hecklers were leftist protesters. “It doesn’t happen that way. We’re willing to listen.”

“Then open the Q&A!” an audience member shouted.

“See what I mean?” Trump Jr. responded. “And that is the problem. And the reason oftentimes it doesn’t make sense to do the Q&A is not because we’re not willing to talk about the questions, ’cause we do. No. It’s because people hijack it with nonsense looking to go for some sort of soundbite. You have people spreading nonsense, spreading hate, trying to take over the room.”

Guilfoyle also stepped in at one point to address the rude protesters and put them in their place.

“We are happy to answer a question. Respect the people around you so that they can hear,” she said as shouts grew louder. “You don’t play by the same rules.”

“You’re not making your parents proud by being rude and disruptive!” she said, fired up by the disruptive members of the crowd. “I bet you engage and go on online dating because you’re impressing no one here to get a date in person.”

According to the Guardian:

A number of the loudest voices at Sunday’s event were supporters of Nick Fuentes, a 21-year-old activist with a podcast called America First that has taken particular aim at Turning Point USA and its 25-year-old founder, Charlie Kirk. In a number of his own recent campus appearances, Kirk has faced questions accusing him of being more interested in supporting Israel than in putting America first. He has responded by calling his detractors conspiracists and racists.

Eventually, the unruly protesters disrupted the entire room and Trump Jr. stood his ground by walking off the stage rather than continue to engage in a verbal fight, choosing to leave instead of deliver the speech he had planned for those who attended the event.

He left the stage along with Kirk and Guilfoyle. Outside the event, much to the disappointment of the left, only a few dozen protesters showed up and were easily shouted down by boisterous pro-Trump supporters who waited hours in line for the event.
