Watch ‘Adam Schiff tries to take a selfie’ video: Comedian Tom Shillue’s Schiff skits are side-splitting

If you think House Intelligence Committee chair Adam Schiff’s widely mocked antics are amusing (though admittedly also disastrous for the country), wait til you see renowned comedian Tom Shillue’s parodies of him.

A Fox News contributor since 2014, on Saturday the comedian turned coffee-loving political commentator appeared on Greg Gutfeld’s weekend program, where for the past month he’s been mocking Schiff by playing him as a character.

And not just any character, but a doofy, uptight one who boasts the sensibilities of a dried-up talking sponge.

Watch for instance what happens when Schiff, as played by Shillue, tries to snap a selfie:

Fortnite, vaping, Leonardo Dicaprio … see, I get millennials,” he says after shoving his face in the phone’s camera like a complete moron.

Naw you don’t …

He doesn’t even get sanity (or the truth) actually, but that’s another story for another day. Though just for the record, he does get conspiracy theories. He gets that real nice.

What makes Shillue’s impersonation of the Intelligence Committee chair particularly entertaining is the uncanny resemblance. The two already look alike as is, but once the comedian applies his makeup, the two become practically indistinguishable.

If you’re able to discern which one is Schiff and which one is Shillue, why by golly you must have 20/10 vision, you lucky buckaroo, you!

But remember, only one Schiff wants to impeach the president!

Dovetailing back to Saturday’s edition of “The Greg Gutfeld Show,” the comedian and close buddy of host Greg Gutfeld performed as Schiff twice.

The other two performances may be seen below:

His first performance occurred on Saturday, Oct. 12, when he depicted Schiff reading nursery rhymes in the same stiff and bizarre way in which the real Schiff speaks, wide eyes included.

Since then eventful day, the sketch has become a reoccurring bit, with the comedian depicting Schiff doing different things every week.

What sort of different things? Everything from trying buffalo wings to applying for a loan, receiving a physical, trying to return a pair of jeans, making a prank call and much more.

It’s not clear whether Schiff is aware of these parodies or how he’d feel about them. Given his perpetually uptight demeanor, it stands to reason he’d dislike them.

To watch any future performances, you’d have to tune into Gutfeld’s show at 10:00 pm EST every Saturday.

Regarding Shillue, he hosted a three-hour talk radio show on Fox Radio from June 2017 til last spring, when he exited the venture to focus on other projects.

Besides sometimes filling in for Gutfeld on “The Five” and of course appearing on “The Greg Gutfeld Show,” he also hosted “The Quiz Show” on Fox Nation.

But it wasn’t until he started impersonating Schiff that his name really blew up. These days he’s become a fan favorite among the myriads of Americans who can’t stand “Schifty” Schiff.
