Nikki Haley, the former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, boldly predicts that President Trump will not be impeached or removed from office because he did nothing that warrants that political “death penalty.”
“You’re going to impeach a president for asking for a favor that didn’t happen and giving money that wasn’t withheld?” Haley told CBS Sunday Morning. “I don’t know what you would impeach him on!”
Haley continued: “Impeachment is like the death penalty for a public official. When you look at the transcript, there’s nothing in that transcript that warrants the death penalty for the president.”
Haley — a former Never-Trumper — has criticized the President before when she disagrees with him, so she’s fairly straightforward in her assessments.

CBS News host Norah O’Donnell interjected: “It was not a complete transcript. There are still things that are missing from it. And in it [the president] does say, ‘I would like you to do us a favor.'”
For the record, there’s nothing wrong with a head of state asking for “a favor” from another head of state. It happens all the time.
Just ask Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
Flashback: In March 2012, Obama asked Russia for extra time and latitude to resolve the missile-defense negotiations between Russia and United States because he didn’t want the thorny issue to hurt his chances for re-election.
Besides, Nikki Haley pointed out that the Ukrainians never investigated Joe Biden — and Trump gave Ukraine the financial and military aid they requested. So what is the Democrats’ malfunction?
“The Ukrainians never did the investigation,” Haley underscored. “And the president released the funds! When you look at that, there’s just nothing impeachable there. The biggest thing that bothers me is that the American people should decide this. Why do we have a bunch of people in Congress making this decision?”
Haley meant that American voters should decide whether or not to remove Trump from office on Election Day — which is less than a year away.
Why are Democrats in Congress trying to silence the public by preempting their right to decide the outcome?
As it stands, both the Ukrainian president and Ukraine’s foreign minister have emphatically stated that President Trump did not pressure them or make any demands.
Meanwhile, this impeachment is ultimately doomed to fail anyway.
Even if Never-Trumpers like Mitt Romney vote against Trump, the impeachment is dead on arrival in the Senate because Democrats don’t have the votes.
“The president can afford to lose 19 Republican senators and still survive,” Fox News analyst Brit Hume said. “I don’t think there are anywhere near 19 Republican senators who are prepared to vote against him so far.”
While Democrats are wasting taxpayer money on a botched impeachment, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz will soon unleash an “explosive” report detailing the multiple FISA abuses committed by the Obama FBI and DOJ.
Former U.S. Attorney Joe diGenova told Fox News that the IG report will be “the greatest political scandal in history.”
DiGenova warned: “[The IG report will be] explosive. For people at the highest levels of the FBI and at the highest levels of the Justice Department, it’s going to be devastating. It’s going to ruin careers.”
