Former Trump advisor Sebastian Gorka took to the Fox Business airwaves on Friday night to implore a shockingly absent Senate Majority Leader Lindsey Graham to do right by the American people. While on “Lou Dobbs Tonight” with fill-in host Gregg Jarrett, Gorka all but begged Graham to actually do what he was elected to do instead of grandstanding.
With impeachment looming overhead, Republicans should be doing everything they can to prepare for the fight ahead. Unfortunately, there seems to be no sense of urgency from the likes of Graham, who still has not called one witness before the judiciary committee, despite numerous fiery promises to do just that. In fact, his lack of action is so noticeable that it prompted Fox News host Tucker Carlson to ask if Graham is “punishing” President Trump by refusing to move the investigation forward.
“Hashtag where’s Hunter Biden but more importantly, hashtag ‘where’s Lindsey Graham?” Gorka asked. “Lindsey Graham, you are the chairman of the Judiciary [Committee] in the Senate. You can subpoena whoever you want. You can subpoena Adam Schiff. You can subpoena the whistleblower. Where are you?”
Then came Gorka’s call to action.
“Don’t give me the excuse that you’re afraid of the fact that John McCain pushed the dodgy dossier around D.C. and it’s going to leak out,” he ranted. “We know that! Don’t protect John McCain’s legacy. He was a Never-Trumper. Do the right thing Lindsey for the sake of the American people!”

While on the show, Jarrett also asked Gorka how he felt about Senator Mitch McConnell urging President Trump to make nice with Senate Republicans ahead of a possible impeachment vote. This would mean sucking up to the likes of Mitt Romney, who has never supported Trump or his America First agenda in any meaningful way.
“Is this the same Mitch McConnell that really hasn’t had the president’s back for the last three years?” Gorka queried. “I get it, Mitch, you want to have a legacy. You want to have judges put in place, and that’s a big deal. But it’s not just about your legacy.”
In the same segment, Gorka claims that the person who filed the complaint that has ultimately led to the current impeachment inquiry is not a “whistleblower,” but “an operative who was placed in the White House by John Brennan.” He also noted that Adam Schiff is “the man who lies the most on Capitol Hill,” which is definitely a feat.
With fighters like Gorka on the president’s side, it’s hard to see how Democrats will be able to successfully impeach Trump, but it will be made easier with the likes of Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell, who sit on their hands and do nothing.
