Former federal prosecutor Joe diGenova said the forthcoming “explosive” Inspector General report detailing the FISA abuses committed by the Obama FBI and DOJ will be “the greatest political scandal in history.”

DiGenova vowed that once the IG report comes out, guilty parties will be indicted and careers will be decimated.

DiGenova made the ominous predictions during an interview with Fox Business host Lou Dobbs. DiGenova was joined by his law firm partner, Victoria Toensing.

“[The IG report will be] explosive,” DiGenova said. “For people at the highest levels of the FBI and at the highest levels of the Justice Department, it’s going to be devastating. It’s going to ruin careers.”

DiGenova — a former U.S. Attorney — said Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report will show that Obama holdovers at the top levels of the FBI and the Department of Justice conspired to illegally spy on Trump campaign aides in 2016.

Joe said this was all done to rig the election in Hillary Clinton’s favor.

DiGenova explained: “What’s clear now is that the senior levels of the Obama Justice Department were complicit in knowingly submitting materially false applications to the FISA Court for an illegitimate counterintelligence purpose — to spy on Americans for political purposes. It will end up being the beginning of the greatest political scandal in history.”

DiGenova said the IG report — which was supposed to come out in October — has been delayed because indictments are being prepared behind the scenes.

“The report is being held up partially because of John Durham’s new grand jury,” DiGenova said. “It exists for one reason and one reason only: because people are going to be indicted.”

There’s mounting evidence that the Obama FBI acted in a corrupt and biased manner to illegally spy on Trump campaign aides.

“[There’s going to be] the emergence of very strong evidence that the FBI knowingly and willfully misled the FISA Court,” investigative reporter John Solomon said in August 2019. “And the US intelligence agencies may have also been involved in what Bill Barr calls ‘political surveillance.’”

In July 2019, Solomon reported that the Obama FBI knew back in 2017 that 90% or more of Christopher Steele’s anti-Trump dossier contained bogus claims.

However, they used the bogus Steele dossier anyway to obtain sham FISA warrants to illegally spy on Trump campaign officials in 2016 when they were private citizens.

“It took until 2019 for the American public to get a definitive answer, when the Mueller report came out,” Solomon said. “In early 2017, the FBI had begun a significant effort to assess the credibility of the Steele dossier.”

“And here’s what they found: They interviewed one of its primary sources — a Russian living in the West — and they came to the assessment after the interview, which I believe was in January-February of 2017, that he was either intentionally misleading Steele or exaggerating in ways that caused Steele’s report to be grossly inaccurate.”

Solomon continued:

“They then took every factual statement in the Steele dossier, put them in a spreadsheet and analyzed them.

They came to conclude that the vast majority of them were either wrong or unverifiable. That is the quality of what they had.

Why is that significant? At the time, [the Obama FBI] were continuing to represent to the FISA Court that Christopher Steele was a reputable source.”

Despite their skepticism about the sham Steele dossier, Obama holdovers in the FBI (under James Comey’s direction) used the dossier to support their requests for FISA warrants in order to spy on Trump campaign aides.

The FBI also knew that the dossier’s author — discredited former British spy Christopher Steele — planted stories in the media in order to buttress the bogus claims made in the dossier, which was paid for by Hillary Clinton‘s 2016 campaign.

The FBI then used this circular reporting to bolster its sham FISA application in order to illegally spy on the 2016 Trump campaign.

The FBI never revealed to the FISA Court that the dossier was paid for by Hillary’s camp and that the dossier’s author, Christopher Steele, despised Donald Trump.
