Sean Spicer may not be the best performer on “Dancing With The Stars,” but having friends in high places is helping to keep him in the running week after week in the ballroom dancing competition on ABC.
Tuesday night, President Trump put out the word on Twitter that MAGA fans ought to vote for Spicer because “He is a great and very loyal guy who is working very hard! #MAGA”

The MAGA army answered the call and voted Spicer through to dance another round, in spite of the show’s three judges blasting him and trying to vote him out.
“We keep throwing you out the boat, and the viewers keep throwing a life preserver,” Len Goodman chided Spicer during Monday’s episode. “A mermaid has better feet than you.”
“That’s the truth,” Carrie Ann Inaba agreed.
“You don’t have many jazz bones in your body, do you?” Bruno Tonioli said. “Finding Nemo has better feet than you,” showing the panel of three show-biz jurists were unanimous in their disdain for the former Trump press secretary.
Could it be that the DWTS competition is playing out like a fluid, spinning, high-stepping national poll regarding 2020 support for Trump?
#DWTS should teach us a few things:
1. Us maga types are sticking together hard as f–k
2. How can Dems expect to impeach trump or vote him out when they can’t even get Sean spicer off the show— flip biscuits (@flip_biscuits) November 5, 2019
Whoever said “Everything is about politics” wasn’t kidding.

Pop Culture reports that Spicer “has consistently had the lowest score every week since Lamar Odom was sent home early on in the competition. Prior to that, he had the second-lowest score each week that Odom was around.”
Monday’s performance by Spicer and Johnson drew scores from the judges of two 7s and a 6 for a total of 20 out of 30.
Spicer-mania, with the help of Trump and a whole new swarm of DWTS voters, is clearly becoming a thing.
Some liberals didn’t want you on the show!! Yes we will show them !!!!! Youre doing a great job!!

And as you well know, President Trump, loyalty is damn hard to find in DC! Good luck, Sean, and GREAT JOB, Mr. President! ???

The televised DWTS drama is bound to only grow larger and more controversial going forward and Spicer is about to become a MAGA hero in a way hard to imagine when he first became a public figure in the Trump administration less than three years ago.
The New York Times has even chimed in with their typically neutral, high-minded journalistic reporting style:
On Monday night, Sean Spicer yet again collected enough audience votes to be deemed safe on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.” Kate Flannery was voted off. What’s terrible about this week’s results is that the competition included a dance-off; Mr. Spicer went up against Ms. Flannery. She won, according to the judges. But Mr. Spicer remains, and it’s outrageous.
He had a different partner this week because his regular one, Lindsay Arnold, had a death in her family. It didn’t make his dancing better or worse. It remains consistent in its awfulness.
