Trump’s immigration policies are working, have you seen the memo?

Pssst … Have a look at how migrants are being coached to circumvent our immigration laws. Oh, it’s a beautifully presented website with far more information than most Americans know…

Amidst circulating stories that “The Wall” at our Mexico southern border is easy to saw through, there is a new Department of Homeland Security DHS report with data revealing President Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy is working.

Since the beginning of this year, the Migrant Protection Protocols MMP, or his “Remain in Mexico” policies, have managed to do the following:

  • Prevent fraudulent/economic/non-meritorious asylum cases from being filed
  • Send migrants back to Mexico to await their processing in court
  • Has begun a return exodus of migrants voluntarily back home
  • Redirected some and convinced others not to take the arduous trek through Mexico

Citing Customs and Border Protection CBP numbers, more than 55,000 migrants have been sent back to Mexico under the MPP and now about 20,000 are sheltered in northern Mexico near our border awaiting entrance into the United States.

This has led DHS to conclude that “aliens without meritorious claims — which do not constitute a free ticket into the United States — are beginning to voluntarily return home.”

According to DHS’s MMP government report, individuals returned to Mexico are now at various stages of their immigration proceedings: some are awaiting their first hearing; some have completed their first hearing and are awaiting their individual hearing; some have received an order of removal from an immigration judge and are now pursuing an appeal; some have established a fear of return to Mexico and are awaiting their proceedings in the United States; some have been removed to their home countries; and some have withdrawn claims and elected to voluntarily return to their home countries.

Acting Customs and Border Protection Commissioner, Mark Morgan states: “We’re now sending the message that, if you’re coming here as an economic migrant, you’re not going to be allowed into the United States. That’s driving a lot of people to return.”

Have our president’s new policies stemmed the tide? Yes. Just as important are those would-be dreamers and their families who have not made the trip in the first place. DHS believes the MMP has trimmed their numbers by 80 percent from the record high in May this year.

DHS also believes the program is fairer to the migrants since they can get a final hearing and learn their fate within a few months, rather than being stuck in our immigration courts for years.

Have you read the memo? Of course not, we average Americans aren’t privy to our government’s bureaucracy. Before Trump and his tweets, we were treated like mushrooms: fed manure and kept in the dark. Now at least we are getting actual information from Dems … albeit, misinformation.

DHS’s memo, released Monday, October 29, announced it is expanding and fortifying the Eagle Pass, Texas, location where would-be asylum seekers will be returned “pronto.”

Under the old Pelosi and Congress-approved system, those who were really just opportunists seeking an economic advantage would have been allowed to enter the U.S. to roam free, with few of them returning for deportation when the time came. Now they are denied a toehold and only allowed entry after they pass the first asylum hurdles.

This government alphabet soup is actually working, folks!
