There is no telling fact from fiction anymore.

In what sounds like a conspiracy theory, a new whistleblower is said to have emerged telling House Democrats that Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, blessed the arrest of Washington Post contributor Jamal Khashoggi by Saudi Arabia before he was then killed and dismembered by Saudi agents in October 2018.

In an even more bizarre twist to the report by The Spectator, the Turkish government used the intercept of the phone call between Kushner and the Saudi ruler, Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), as leverage to persuade Trump to withdraw U.S. troops from northern Syria before the Turks invaded.

The Spectator report reads:

Kushner (allegedly) gave the green light to MBS to arrest the dissident journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, who was later murdered and dismembered in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. A second source tells Cockburn that this is true and adds a crucial twist to the story. This source claims that Turkish intelligence obtained an intercept of the call between Kushner and MBS. And President Erdogan used it to get Trump to roll over and pull American troops out of northern Syria before the Turks invaded. Cockburn hears that investigators for the House Intelligence Committee know this whole tale and the identities of some of the people telling it. Whether any of is true is another matter …

The Sunday report by the media outlet indicates that their source tells them House Democrats have “seven intelligence whistleblowers willing to give evidence, or who have already given evidence, about President Trump’s dealings with foreign governments.” The so-called Kushner-MBS whistleblower is one of the seven, a few of whom are already publicly known.

The three already known are the original anonymous CIA officer, Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, and Tim Morrison, the NSC’s director for European and Russian Affairs.

The CIA and other western intelligence agencies believe that MBS ordered the Khashoggi’s assassination. However he denies that, while accepting responsibility. “It happened under my watch,” he told PBS in an interview. “I get all the responsibility, because it happened under my watch.”

The Saudi government has called the 11 individuals who have been arrested for the killing “rogue operatives.” Secret court proceedings have taken place, with little known of the results.

The Daily Mail outlined previous developments with regard to Kushner, saying:

Kushner, who is a top White House aide whose portfolio includes diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia, has defended MBS.

His ties with the Saudi prince have come under scrutiny after it was learned that the two communicated through text messages on WhatsApp.

The Presidential Records Act prohibits senior White House officials from using non-official email or messaging accounts for government business.

Democrats in Congress have sent letters demanding that the White House provide documents about senior aides’ use of private email and text services.

House Democrats are expected to begin public hearings in the impeachment inquiry in the next few weeks. On Friday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told Bloomberg Television that their partisan impeachment process could take them beyond the issue of Ukraine.

“What we’re talking about now is taking us into a whole other class of objection to what the president has done. And there may be other — there were 11 obstruction of justice provisions in the Mueller report,” she said. “Perhaps some of them will be part of this. But again, that will be part of the inquiry, to see where we go.”
