The petty response from New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to the news that President Donald Trump will make Florida his permanent residence after he vacates the White House epitomizes the unhinged hatred most Democrats have for the president.
But Donald Trump Jr. got the last laugh when it comes to Cuomo’s sad reaction.
Trump, a lifelong New Yorker, filed a “declaration of domicile” in September saying that his Palm Beach property will be his permanent residence, the New York Times reported.
More from the Times:
In late September, Mr. Trump changed his primary residence from Manhattan to Palm Beach, Fla., according to documents filed with the Palm Beach County Circuit Court. Melania Trump, the first lady, also changed her residence to Palm Beach in an identical document.
Each of the Trumps filed a “declaration of domicile” saying that the Mar-a-Lago Club, Mr. Trump’s resort in Palm Beach, will be their permanent residence.
Cuomo took to Twitter to say: “Good riddance. It’s not like @realDonaldTrump paid taxes here anyway… He’s all yours, Florida.”

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio also weighed in, proving he has even less class than Cuomo.
“Don’t let the door hit you on the way out or whatever,” the quasi-socialist mayor tweeted.

The president responded online to say New York will “always have a special place in my heart,” and that his motivation includes political leaders in the state treating him “very badly” over the years despite the millions in taxes he has paid.

But the president’s eldest son and namesake cut much closer to the bone in recalling past actions from Cuomo — such as “begging” his father for money.
“Nice soundbite. Now do the tens of thousands of other successful New Yorkers and businesses fleeing your idiotic policies every week. I’ll wait. Also I don’t remember this sentiment ever stopping you from coming to [Trump’s] office begging for $. I was there. GOOD TIMES.”

Not restrained by holding public office, Trump Jr. can call it like he sees it and share a no-holds-barred take on events.
Brexit leader Candace Owens chimed in with a great, albeit impractical suggestion.
“Move Trump Tower too. The treatment @EricTrump gets despite the money the Trump organization invests is despicable,” she tweeted. “Don’t just move the family— move the entire business. Let New York and California become what they fight for: socialism.”

Cuomo is disgusting. What an ingrate.

All of the media businesses I was associated w/ started leaving NYC within a few years after Rudy was out of office-the city has gone downhill under current ‘leadership.’

But, gee, Cuomo, New York is STILL stuck with you!!!!

A career politician doesn’t understand business, the risks, costs and the value they bring to communities (jobs). Sad! Cuomo also misses the point that Florida is more tax friendly. I’m in California—people are leaving just like NY.

Will the last conservative to leave New York please bring the American flag with them? Thanks in advance.

Yep, and shut down Wollman rink and all of the other establishments he saved because the city couldnt afford to do it.

Exactly, Candace. Relocate his entire Trump organization to Palm Beach…sell the bldgs, relocate key employees, etc.

Hope people understand what Dem policies have done to our once fabulous cities – look at Seattle, SF, San Bernadino, South Bend, Baltimore, NYC and Chicago, for starters. All run by Democrats, and run into the ground. The people of these great cities are pissed off.
