Brennan praises ‘Never-Trump witness,’ rallies Deep State with ‘stay strong’ message

If we’ve determined anything in the past three years or so, it’s that when it comes to President Donald Trump there are unfriendly elements within the U.S. intelligence apparatus.

Former CIA director John Brennan and former FBI director James Comey make it a regular habit to bash Trump, and it doesn’t require a great imagination to think that these men may have set the tone at the respective agencies they led.

In responding to a tweet from Trump questioning testimony from Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, a National Security Council official the president called a “Never Trumper witness,” Brennan praised Vindman’s efforts and called for other bureaucrats and intelligence officials to come forward.

“As in previous times of National peril,” Brennan tweeted, “we rely on our military, diplomats, intelligence officials, law enforcement officers, & other courageous patriots to protect our liberties, freedom, & democracy. May they stay resolute & strong despite corrupt political headwinds they face.”

There’s little question that the federal bureaucracy is permeated with liberals, and with Brennan following the left’s script by first declaring that America is in a “time of national peril” with Donald Trump as commander in chief, he set the stage for snitches to hopefully come out of the woodwork.

It has been reported that the initial Ukraine whistleblower is a CIA officer detailed to the White House.

And Paul Sperry, the former D.C. bureau chief for Investor’s Business Daily, tweeted on “swirling” rumors that the whistleblower was one of Brennan’s “old CIA humps detailed over to — planted inside — the White House to spy on Trump and help thwart the investigation of #Spygate which also involves Obama DOS/FBI/CIA skullduggery in Ukraine.”

Vindman works at the White House as a Ukraine expert and his testimony supports allegations made by Democrats in that he said he was troubled by the president’s call with Ukraine’s president and reported these concerns to a superior.

He also claimed there are gaps in the transcripts of that call related to Biden and Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian gas company that paid the former vice president’s son, Hunter Biden, up to $50,000 a month to sit on its board.

Trump had asked Ukraine to get to the bottom of Biden demanding a top prosecutor investigating the company be fired.

“I realized that if Ukraine pursued an investigation into the Bidens and Burisma, it would likely be interpreted as a partisan play which would undoubtedly result in Ukraine losing the bipartisan support it has thus far maintained,” Vindman said in an opening statement, according to reports.

“This would all undermine U.S. national security. Following the call, I again reported my concerns to NSC’s lead counsel,” he added.

As for Brennan, now an analyst for NBC, this is not the first time he has campaigned for government officials to turn on President Trump, as seen below in a Sept. tweet:

It’s rather remarkable that a public effort plays out daily online and in the media to undermine the president of the United States. Even more so when that effort comes from former officials who have held critical positions in government.

Social media users appear to be on to what’s playing out before our eyes… here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
