On Friday, GOP House leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy provided his unvarnished opinion about what Democrats are up to in their impeachment efforts, blasting Reps. Jerry Nadler and Adam Schiff in the process, but especially battering Schiff.

“They took it away from Nadler because they think Nadler’s inept,” McCarthy told attendees at the Washington Examiner Political Summit. “They gave it to Schiff because he’s more willing to lie, and they put it in Intel so he can hide what’s going on.”

McCarthy hammered away multiple times during his talk at Schiff’s dishonesty, making it clear that, as the Examiner reported: “Kevin McCarthy thinks Adam Schiff is an extraordinary liar.”

McCarthy and other House Republicans have been lambasting Schiff and his lies for months, since the Mueller report failed to deliver the goods in terms of producing evidence of the collusion Schiff repeatedly insisted would be revealed.

In March, McCarthy tweeted: “Nine members of the House Intelligence Cmte have just called for Chairman Adam Schiff’s ‘immediate resignation as chairman of the committee.’ For two years he misled the public on collusion, and the American people no longer have faith in his ability to lead. He should step down.”

That letter calling for Schiff’s resignation came after he, as chair of the House Intelligence Committee, made news claiming there is “direct evidence” of Trump collusion with Russia–just one of many Schiff whoppers.

As the Examiner reported on Thursday in an op-ed entitled, “The worst man for the job,” Schiff has a lengthy background in producing fictional narratives. “In early 2018, not long after taking control of the House Intelligence Committee, Schiff confirmed what every Democrat wanted to hear, which was that Congress had not only uncovered evidence of a criminal conspiracy by the president’s 2016 campaign, but now had an ‘abundance’ of incriminating evidence in its possession,” wrote David Harsanyi.

“It was, of course, huge news,” he continued. “But it also turned out to be a spectacular lie. Special counsel Robert Mueller would spend roughly two years digging through accusations of coordination between the Trump campaign and the Russian government to steal the 2016 presidential election and come up with nothing. Nor would the 25-person investigative staff Schiff inherited when the Democrats took back the House discover any evidence of collusion.”

By now, Schiff’s disposition for deceit is well established, yet the Democrats stand behind their man with nary a defection. Not a single Dem voted to censure him on Monday, further entrenching Democrats as the party with no truth in it.

Before the censure vote, McCarthy spoke out again, saying: “Chairman Adam Schiff has repeatedly lied and tried to hide so many of the facts, how can anyone trust anything else he says?”

On Saturday, McCarthy reiterated that Schiff is a liar and that the Democrats are complicit, tweeting, “Democrats have already pre-written the script, and as every day progresses, we find more lies from Chairman Adam Schiff.”

Bottom line, any claim to an honest impeachment inquiry being conducted in complete secrecy by a man like Schiff is ridiculous.
