Fox News host Jesse Watters is frustrated with the “disgraceful” treatment of President Trump and the lack of a forceful plan of action by Republicans to defend him.
Watters wondered on “The Five” Thursday if anyone in the Trump administration even cares about what the president has been dealing with, calling out the weak response from Republicans who are “losing the message war” against Democrats bent on impeaching him.

Liberal co-host Juan Williams questioned Watters about the “stunt” by Republicans who stormed a secret hearing by House Intelligence, Foreign Affairs, and Oversight Committees in protest of the way House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff has been conducting the closed-door proceedings.
“They want to know the truth. They want to know what’s going on behind closed doors,” Watters replied, noting that both parties engage in “stunts” as he reminded his colleagues about the infamous fried chicken antics of Tennessee Democrat Rep. Steve Cohen back in May.
“The Democrats love mob action. That’s what they’ve been doing the last three years. But unfortunately, Juan, this is what happens when you lose elections,” Watters said.
“Democrats outvoted the Republicans in the midterms. Pelosi has the gavel. They can do whatever the hell they want and the Republicans are forced to pull this stuff,” he argued. “It’s really people who stayed home on Election Day last time. If you want to point fingers, they needed more Trump voters and they didn’t get them. And now, Trump is getting eaten alive by people on the inside.”
Watters lamented the impossible obstacles confronting Trump with “all these people working against him” as he tries to get done what he was elected to do.
“He can’t get anything done, because every time he tries to do one thing or the other, people cut him down in the dark, and it’s really disgraceful,” he exclaimed, adding that the outrage over Trump’s Ukraine call is misplaced with that country being the most corrupt “basically on the entire planet.”
“And all the President is trying to do is find out what the hell is going on over there, find out what happened last time, how is everything starting to begin with. He’s playing politics, he’s trying to fight back. And he’s getting killed for it. Now, they are holding secret impeachment hearings. It’s disgusting,” the frustrated Fox News host said.
“All the Republicans want to do is find out what is happening behind closed doors and they can’t even share their side of the story, because all the whistleblowers and their lawyers have colluded with Schiff,” he said.
Watters had more to unload as he targeted Republicans and their lack of any meaningful action during the ongoing attacks on the president by Democrats.
“Does anyone even care in the administration? They don’t even have a team that’s fighting this thing. I’ve said more things on this show to push back against what’s going on that I’ve seen out of the White House,” he contended. “Where’s the Senate? Where’s Lindsey Graham? Why isn’t he holding hearings? Why isn’t he interviewing the people that are testifying behind closed doors?”
The South Carolina Republican introduced a resolution Thursday condemning the “un-American” impeachment inquiry by House Democrats.

Graham’s colleague, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul called out the Senate Judiciary Committee chairman for introducing the “symbolic resolution” while not scheduling any hearings or pursuing the truth on the “hoax” against the president.
“It’s time for them to get tougher than they already are,” Watters urged.
“You know, you can say I condemn this. You can send a bunch of guys in to try to find out what’s going on but they need lawyers, they need killers, they need people with experience, parliamentarians who know how to fight this thing,” Watters concluded.
“Because right now, it’s day after day, leak after leak,” he added, “and they’re losing the message war.”
