Bette Midler tweets praise for neighbor who attacked Rand Paul, senator’s wife responds

Actress and recording artist Bette Midler has made it a habit of late to take to social media and spew hatred toward President Donald Trump and the Republican Party.

In her derangement, Midler took things to a whole new level of repulsiveness when she tweeted appreciation to the neighbor of Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., who “beat the sh*t” out of him.

The cowardly entertainer would later delete the tweet.

“I DO NOT promote violence but… Rand Paul says the Kurds are being ‘ingrates’ for taking their frustrations out on US troops. Which is a good reminder for us all to be more grateful for the neighbor who beat the shit out of Rand Paul,” Midler tweeted.

Rene Boucher, who viciously beat the lawmaker as he was working in the yard of his Kentucky home, was sentenced in 2018 to 30 days in prison for a brutal assault that left Paul with several broken ribs and led to the removal of part of his lung.

Boucher was also given one year of supervised release.

Sen. Paul’s wife, Kelley Paul, felt compelled to respond to the despicable tweet from Midler.

“No matter how much I disliked someone’s politics, I would never celebrate their serious injury. A low bar, but [Bette Midler] is below it,” she tweeted.

In responding to another tweet, Paul said: “Repugnant words from [Bette Midler] cheering the violent assault on my husband – because he thinks US soldiers shouldn’t police Turkish border.”

This is not the first time that Midler has reveled in the neighbor’s violent actions, as seen in a tweet on Feb. 9, 2018.

“Where’s Rand Paul’s neighbor when we need him?

Senior White House aide Rob Porter had resigned the day before after his ex-wives accused him of being physically abusive, which appears to have prompted the tweet.

But then, Midler appears to have a fascination with violence, having responded to a tweet from liberal filmmaker Michael Moore about Trump’s hair by suggesting that someone stab the president.

“He actually looks better here! Maybe someone in his camp can gently give him a shiv. I mean, shove,” she said in the now-deleted tweet.

The president responded to Midler’s unhinged behavior by calling her a “washed-up psycho.” This coming after she falsely attributed a quote to him saying Republicans are “the dumbest group of voters in the country.”
