Mark Sanford, a GOP challenger to President Trump, drew one person to his Philadelphia rally on October 16. That’s a stark contrast to the crowd of 30,000 people who attended Trump’s raucous rally yesterday in Dallas.
Sanford was in Philadelphia this week to officially launch his GOP primary challenge to President Trump.
In a sad rebuke to his flailing campaign, Sanford’s kickoff event attracted only one person, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. What’s even more pathetic is that the lone attendee was a Democrat who said he has no intention of voting for Sanford.

Mark Sanford is a virulent Never-Trumper who launched his campaign mainly to be a thorn in Donald Trump’s side.
The former South Carolina governor resigned in disgrace in 2009 after he disappeared for 10 days without explanation to visit his mistress in Argentina.
Last month, Sanford joined two other Never-Trump Republicans — former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld and former Illinois Congressman Joe Walsh — in announcing their primary challenges to unseat Trump.
The trio has no chance of winning because the Republican Party is staunchly behind its incumbent. Moreover, four states canceled their Republican primaries, thereby assuring that Trump’s challengers will have no platform to stump from.
Meanwhile, a capacity crowd of 30,000 Trump supporters descended on the American Airlines Center in Dallas yesterday.

During the event, enthusiastic supporters cheered and applauded as the president blasted Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and predicted a “landslide” victory for Republicans in 2020.
“That crazy Nancy. She is crazy. And Shifty [Adam] Schiff, how about this guy? He made up a totally false conversation with the Ukrainian president, and we caught him cold…I want to get him before Congress and I want to see what he has to say…He’s a fraud.”
“We’re fighting a campaign against leftists, socialists, and globalists who want to return to reckless wars, open borders, rampant crime, and disastrous one-way trade deals.”
Trump also slammed the Democrats for prioritizing illegal aliens and other nations before our own country. Keep in mind that the United States is struggling to contain poverty and homelessness among Americans, in addition to our burgeoning national debt.
Despite this, Democrats want the United States to have open borders and provide billions of dollars in assistance to Syria and Afghanistan (among others).
“They believe America is the world’s piggy bank and that your tax dollars should subsidize the economy, military, and defense of every other nation in the world but our own,” Trump said.
To prove that he’s making good on his America First agenda, President Trump visited a new $50 million Louis Vuitton factory in Texas yesterday shortly before his Dallas rally.
The 100,000 square-foot facility — which will employ 1,000 people — was made possible because French billionaire Bernard Arnault (the chairman of Louis Vuitton) agreed to invest in creating American jobs.
Trump told the capacity crowd in Dallas that patriots like them “must hold the Democrats accountable for their lies and their corruption.” And the best way to do that is to crush them in 2020.
“We have to go out and we have to win this election,” Trump exhorted. “It’s going to be a landslide! We have to make it a landslide.”
