Rep. Matt Gaetz slammed the “Kangaroo Court Coup” against President Trump as he revealed he was kicked out of a closed-door impeachment hearing.
The Florida Republican argued that as a member of the House Judiciary Committee, he should have been allowed to attend a hearing on Monday in which Trump’s former top aide on Russia, Fiona Hill, was being questioned by lawmakers from three different committees.

Gaetz again blasted Democrats for not using House procedure and not using “legitimate” tools in the inquiry.

The lawmaker took to Twitter and also to reporters.

“This is not a legitimate ‘impeachment inquiry’ — it is a charade,” Gaetz tweeted, angry over being told he could not attend the hearing because he does not sit on either the Intelligence, Foreign Affairs or Oversight panels — the official committees conducting the impeachment inquiry.
Chairman Schiff and the radical democrats are now active participants in the coup. To exclude Members of Congress from hearings confirms the American people’s suspicions: this is not a legitimate “impeachment inquiry” — it is a charade.

Gaetz called out House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for being “equally complicit in hiding and obfuscating the truth” in the impeachment inquiry.

The GOP lawmaker argued that his committee has jurisdiction over the hearing with Hill, who resigned ahead of Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky which triggered the Democrats’ impeachment frenzy.

Though Democrats naturally backed Schiff and the decision by the House parliamentarian that would not allow Gaetz to attend the hearing, others joined the Repubican congressman in condemning the “sham” being perpetrated by Democrats.
Now the Dems won’t let @mattgaetz – a Member of Congress on the Judiciary Committee – sit in on their impeachment depositions. Just shows how much of a sham this whole thing is! What are Schiff and company hiding behind closed doors?!?!
