MSNBC announces its editorial decision to ban Trump’s criticism of Hunter Biden: ‘We cannot in good conscience show it to you’

MSNBC purposefully refused to air certain parts of President Donald Trump’s rally in Minnesota last week in a move seemingly made to protect former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter.

The decision was announced in a sanctimonious, hypocritical rant by “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd, who delivered a monologue on Friday bemoaning the president’s rally a day earlier in Minneapolis for its alleged “vitriol” and then ranting about Trump’s criticisms of Biden’s corruption-linked son Hunter.

Listen to his holier-than-thou rant below:

“What’s even more remarkable about what happened at last night’s Trump rally, the president went further than he’s ever gone before,” Todd kvetched. “So we’re going further than we’ve ever gone before to say we aren’t going to play the sound and repeat the president’s vicious attacks on Hunter Biden.”

“The president of the United States stood in front of a crowd of supporters and character assassinated a man,” he continued. “Whatever you think of his decisions, he’s not a public figure, he isn’t running for office and he’s not a campaign surrogate. He’s not even on the campaign trail. And he isn’t in any way asking for this attention, obviously.”

The same could have been said of Fox News host Sean Hannity, whom former President Barack Hussein Obama viciously attacked on multiple occasions during his tenure in office. But Todd didn’t say anything then.

The same could have also been said for the members of the Cambridge Police Department in Massachusetts, who were smeared by Obama for “acting stupidly” after they justifiably took a black professor into custody for disorderly conduct in 2009. But again, Todd didn’t say anything then.

“Look, we’re going to tell you that the president’s attack on Hunter Biden is remarkable and newsworthy, but we can’t in good conscience amplify those attacks,” Todd said. “We won’t. We’ll simply tell you that it happened and that it seemed to cross another line.”

“Politics ain’t a bean bag, but it ain’t supposed to be this either,” he added. “We all need to play a role and not reward this type of politics. Not just the press. This is the job of anyone who has sworn an oath to defend the Constitution.”

What’s odd is how neither Todd nor his far-left colleagues at MSNBC have ever abided by this same rule when dealing with the president.

Over the past couple years, the radically left-wing network has repeatedly amplified some of the most insanely hyperbolic and patently dangerous conspiracy theories and lies about the president that exist.

Following the El Paso mass shooting in August, one host accused the president of “talking about exterminating Latinos,” another host suggested mass shootings are something Trump “wants,” one analyst claimed that the president’s decision to fly the flag until August 8 was a signal to real-life Nazis, and another analyst said that the president was giving white supremacists “subliminal orders in their head.”

All of this wasn’t just false — it was psychotic and dangerous. But again, Todd said nothing. The same holds true for the Russia collusion delusion probe and the plethora of conspiracy theories it engendered over at “conspiracy TV MSNBC.” In fact, the MSNBC host gladly participated in that conspiracy-pushing rhetoric.

It was perhaps because of Todd’s stunning hypocrisy that, when the official Twitter account for “Meet the Press” shared the video clip seen up top on its page on Friday afternoon, the tweet was quickly blasted by angry Twitter users.

And not just any ol’ random Twitter users, but Twitter users ready and willing to do what was supposed to be MSNBC’s job and share the truth with the public:

And also remind MSNBC of its hypocrisy and clear-cut Democrat Party cheerleading:

Are members of the contemporary media nothing but Democrat Party “propagandists,” as the latter Twitter user above suggested?

Well, given that MSNBC’s decision to protect Hunter occurred just as his father was busy demanding that the media ignore the credible allegations of corruption against him and his son, the answer seems clear …

NOTE: A brief error in the headline read “CNN” instead of “MSNBC.” It was changed immediately after publication.
