Fox Business host Trish Regan sounded the alarm on the escalating left-wing violent protests against President Donald Trump, saying she’s worried it could lead to a “civil war” of sorts.
Specifically, Regan is concerned that the Left and the mainstream media are normalizing violence and hate “so long as it’s hate for the president and the president’s supporters.”
“It’s barbaric, sickening, and it’s dangerous,” she said on Friday.

Regan recounted: “There was a time in history when the U.S. was just as fractured. When people refused to see others as people, when politics got in the way of family, of decency and faith in our government. I’m talking about the 1850s. The result was the darkest moment in American history: the Civil War.”
Regan fears that the United States is approaching the level of divisiveness it experienced in the lead-up to the Civil War.
“We’re near a civil war right now. I don’t mean a war in quite a literal, historic sense. I don’t believe there’s going to be armies and generals leading battles. I certainly hope not.
But we’re at a breaking point in terms of an emotional civil war with violence that will spill into our streets. It’s happening now and our leaders must take responsibility for this.”
Regan said this is happening because the Democrats still cannot accept that Donald Trump won in 2016, and they want to undo that election.

Predictably, the Left mocked Regan on Twitter even though she’s correct in her assessment that violence against Trump supporters has been escalating and become normalized.
One person quipped: “This is full-blown crazy BS, by what appears and sounds like a some sort of low-rated actress over-trying on her fictional lines.”
