Matt Gaetz set off leftists this week when he referred to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff as a “malicious Captain Kangaroo” presiding over a “kangaroo court.”
After Schiff slammed the Trump administration for blocking Ambassador Gordon Sondland from testifying about the Ukraine phone-call controversy, Republicans spoke to the press and gave their collective response to Schiff’s showboating hearings.
“We would sure like to see the Volker testimony released before we continue the depositions and transcribed interviews. And what we see in this impeachment is a kangaroo court, and Chairman Schiff is acting like a malicious Captain Kangaroo,” Gaetz said.

Liberals have jumped on Gaetz and attempted to say that he got his metaphors mixed up by referring to both “Captain Kangaroo” — a character from a kids’ program — and “kangaroo court” — which is defined as “a mock court in which the principles of law and justice are disregarded or perverted.”
Leftists seem to claim they know a person’s intention and motivation and whichever way they interpret and twist something becomes fact in their minds. Just look at the Ukraine controversy. The entire impeachment inquiry is based on nothing. You can read the transcript of the phone call and read the whistleblower complaint, which is based on secondhand information.
Just check out some of the loony reactions below:
Matt Gaetz thinks the expression “Kangaroo Court” comes form a children’s TV show “Captain Kangaroo.”
And Donald Trump thinks text messages are tweets.
The stench of stupid coming from that cult is rather strong this morning.
In other words, no change. pic.twitter.com/1irw79DZxC

Does Congressman Gaetz think the phrase “kangaroo court” came from Captain Kangaroo?
That alone should qualify for disbarment. https://t.co/JpsTVRqu0D

What we see in Matt Gaetz is a congressman ignorant of what a Kangaroo court is, and who Captain Kangaroo was. @mattgaetz – only the best serve @realDonaldTrump https://t.co/yxvL0WiRt4

Consider this: Adam Schiff presided over a congressional hearing where he literally presented false dialogue from the phone call between President Trump and the Ukraine president. He later defended this as “parody.” What did leftists do? Took the man at his word and moved on.
Now they are screaming about Gaetz because he happened to use two metaphors in one phrase. These people are so brainwashed that they are willing to let a congressman lie at a congressional hearing and accept it as “parody,” but they can twist Gaetz’s words to make it seem as though he is confused about saying something very simple.
