Soledad O’Brien mocks black Trump supporters…gets brutally mocked

The idea that more and more black Americans are joining with conservative leaders in support of President Donald Trump leaves the left in a conundrum.

Do they subject these African-Americans to the prescribed Alinsky tactic of ridicule, running the risk of being held to the same impossible standard they hold the right to in being tagged racist for their criticism?

Which is where liberal minorities like Soledad O’Brien come into play, although she saw the tables quickly turned on her over the weekend in the unpredictable world of social media.

The fired CNN anchor responded to a tweet from Isaiah Washington — one of Hollywood’s few outspoken conservatives — featuring a photo of himself with other black men, along with hashtags to advocate for the Blexit movement, which urges minorities to walk away from the Democrat Party plantation.

O’Brien’s enlightened offering?

“LOL.”

If you follow the liberal mainstream media outlets, you’d be hard pressed to know that President Donald Trump hosted the Young Black Leadership Summit last week at the White House.

This has black Americans fired up for the 2020 election and “do nothing Democrats” shaking in their boots.

Here’s a quick sampling of the fare that was offered up last week in the East Room at the White House.

“A while back, President Trump said, when he was talking to the black community, ‘If you vote for me, what do you have to lose?’ Because do-nothing Democrats have done nothing for the black community,” activist  and comedian Terrence Williams said. “2020 is around the corner and we have a lot to lose now because President Donald J. Trump has done so much for the black community.  Thank you, President Trump.”

But back to Soledad O’Brien.

Washington replied to the liberal’s “LOL” tweet. Taking the high road, the actor asked her to educate herself more about who he is and “hop on a call” with him.

“I don’t know you personally, but we do Follow each other here on Twitter. Perhaps you should do a little more research on me before you go down this path. Let’s keep it simple. Let’s hop on call before you are forced to block me and this becomes nasty,” the “Blue Caprice” actor tweeted.

The reigning question in response to her tweet was pretty basic.

Why is it funny that black Americans eschew the trappings of the Democrat Party and think for themselves? Why is it humorous to her that there may be diversity in thought in the black community?

All in all, the online responses showed just how shallow-minded O’Brien was in her reaction, and just how little she has to offer to political debate in America.

Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
