President Donald Trump had some unusual praise for the Democrat Party in a Sunday morning tweet.
While praising the “lousy politician” Democrats for their “loyalty,” Trump took a shot at Utah Senator Mitt Romney, one of the few Republicans to criticize him amidst the impeachment inquiry into his much-debated phone call with the Ukrainian president.
“The Democrats are lucky that they don’t have any Mitt Romney types. They may be lousy politicians, with really bad policies (Open Borders, Sanctuary Cities etc.), but they stick together!” the president tweeted.

The tweet was just the latest in a string of public shots Trump has taken at Romney following the senator seemingly siding with Democrats over the Ukraine phone call. He has even called for Romney to be impeached.
“I’m hearing that the Great People of Utah are considering their vote for their Pompous Senator, Mitt Romney, to be a big mistake. I agree! He is a fool who is playing right into the hands of the Do Nothing Democrats!” Trump tweeted on Friday.

Trump also called Romney a pompous “a**” in another tweet and recalled how the failed presidential candidate “begged” to be secretary of state when Trump was first elected to the White House.
Mitt Romney never knew how to win. He is a pompous “ass” who has been fighting me from the beginning, except when he begged me for my endorsement for his Senate run (I gave it to him), and when he begged me to be Secretary of State (I didn’t give it to him). He is so bad for R’s!

Somebody please wake up Mitt Romney and tell him that my conversation with the Ukrainian President was a congenial and very appropriate one, and my statement on China pertained to corruption, not politics. If Mitt worked this hard on Obama, he could have won. Sadly, he choked!

Romney previously blasted Trump’s call for Ukraine to look into Biden’s very questionable relationship to his son Hunter’s overseas business dealings “wrong and appalling.”
When the only American citizen President Trump singles out for China’s investigation is his political opponent in the midst of the Democratic nomination process, it strains credulity to suggest that it is anything other than politically motivated.

By all appearances, the President’s brazen and unprecedented appeal to China and to Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden is wrong and appalling.
