‘Stay tuned, much more to come on Schiff’: Nervous Dems could boot lying chairman

President Donald Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani predicted Friday that Democrat Party leaders may try to oust House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff from the committee over his plethora of lies and never-ending bullschiff.

“Democrats are getting nervous about Schiff. Might even remove him as Chairman,” he tweeted Friday afternoon, roughly 10 hours after The Washington Post ran a devastating “Four Pinocchios” fact-check on the Democrat lawmaker’s latest and most glaring lie.

“By lying to the American public, saying he had no knowledge of the complaint, he was able to, for WEEKS, peddle a malicious and false version through media appearances.”

In its fact-check published early Friday morning, the Post confirmed that when Schiff told an MSNBC “journalist” on Sept. 17 that the Intelligence Committee hadn’t “spoken directly with the whistleblower,” he lied.

“We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower,” he said at the time to MSNBC’s Sam Stein. “We would like to, but I’m sure the whistleblower has concerns that he has not been advised as the law requires by the inspector general or the director of national intelligence just as to how he is to communicate with Congress.”

Other fact-checking organizations have also labeled this statement a lie.

“[A] New York Times report, which quoted Schiff spokesman Patrick Boland acknowledging that ‘the whistle-blower contacted the committee for guidance,’ shows that this statement was inaccurate,” PolitiFact wrote in its own “FALSE” ruling Friday.

“While it was not publicly known that Schiff’s committee had communicated with the whistleblower ahead of the complaint’s filing, Schiff knew the truth. When given the chance to say that the whistleblower had reached out to a committee aide, he did not.’

In short, Schiff lied. And not just once but multiple times:

But this isn’t an anomaly for Schiff; it’s practically his trademark, ergo why a growing number of Democrats are reportedly worried about all the power he wields on the Intelligence Committee.

Flashback to Sept. 26, when the committee chairman opened a hearing on the whistleblower non-scandal by relaying a completely fictional account of President Donald Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. That was strike one.

“[S]ome Democrats quietly worried that he had handed Trump a weapon against the probe’s credibility,” the Associated Press reported at the time. “Some in Schiff’s party said they viewed this part of Schiff’s statement as unnecessary, especially given that the president’s actual words had been made public.”

These concerns have only grown further. And what happened Friday may have exacerbated them even more, as noted by Giuliani.

“Democrats are angry that Schiff put Biden in everyone’s crosshairs by firing the gun TOO EARLY,” the former New York City mayor’s tweets continued.

Ukraine’s top prosecutor announced during a press conference Friday that he intends to conduct an audit of the Ukrainian government’s past investigation into Burisma, the corruption-linked gas company tied to 2020 contender former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.

Some conservatives — including Giuliani, it would appear — believe that the audit wasn’t launched because of Trump’s original request — but rather because of all the attention that Schiff’s “witch hunt” against the president wound up bringing to the request.

Even the left-wing media appear to be turning on the committee chairman.

“Adam Schiff’s unforced errors on the impeachment inquiry,” the headline for a somewhat critical analysis of Schiff published Friday by the Post reads.

“It may not be a fair standard that Schiff has to be held to a much higher level of conduct than the focus of his impeachment investigation. But that’s reality for House Democrats,” the piece reads.

“Trump is often willing to distort or even ignore facts to defend himself. So the last thing Democrats need to do is drop stuff in his lap to use, as Schiff has done these past two weeks.”

Of course, the piece also contained digs at Trump.

Speaking earlier this week on Fox News, House Oversight Committee ranking member Rep. Jim Jordan, a Republican, argued that Schiff is simply too “biased” to lead the Democrats’ impeachment efforts.

“[House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi putting Adam Schiff in charge of this impeachment inquiry is exactly what [disgraced former FBI Director] Jim Comey did when he put [disgraced former FBI agent] Peter Strzok in charge of the Trump-Russia investigation,” the congressman maintained.

“Even Democrats would agree that Peter Strzok should have never been running that investigation. [Department of Justice Inspector General] Michael Horowitz said he should never have been running that investigation. Nancy Pelosi is doing the same thing with putting Adam Schiff in charge of the investigation. They have already made a determination. They don’t care about the facts and the truth and the American people see through it.”
