Anyone who’s ever tried to lose weight, even just a few pounds, knows how hard it can be.

Jessica Simpson was the recipient of a seemingly light-hearted sarcastic response from actress Amy Schumer over her monumental weight loss. The fashion mogul took it in stride.

Simpson announced her amazing 100-pound weight loss on Instagram last week with a beautiful photo showing off her new (or would that be “old”?) body after having her third baby.

Schumer, who gave birth to her first child in May, posted a photo of her own with the caption: “Ok Simpson! I’ve lost 10 pounds and 100 dollars to my sister playing poker.” But subtle dig was hidden within the hashtag, “no rush.”

Simpson responded with a bit of wit and the southern charm she’s known for.

“You’re hot. Size only matters when it comes to men,” Simpson responded, according to Fox News.

Don’t let the mounds of blonde hair and bubbly personality fool you, Simpson, once known for pop music, then reality TV, then acting, has become a fashion mogul to be reckoned with.

But, even the most successful and beautiful among us have their struggles. And that’s why Simpson posted a busty photo of her newly-found figure after she previously topped the scales at 240lbs.

“6 months. 100 pounds down (Yes, I tipped the scales at 240),” Simpson wrote.

“My first trip away from #Birdiemae and emotional for many reasons, but so proud to feel like myself again. Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder.”

An impressive feat by any standard and her post earned congratulatory praise from her fans.

Simpson’s personal trainer gives the credit to his client and the work that she put in on her own time.

“She was so motivated and positive,” Harley Pasternak told People. “She was saying that her body has not belonged to her for the past decade. Not in a bad way, in a positive way — her body has been designated to create life and now it’s hers again and she’s going to make it fantastic in a really enjoyable way.”

With three children, a husband (former football star Eric Johnson) and a fashion empire to run, Simpson certainly has her hands full:

Schumer, who in fairness is a comedian, has taken a different approach to share her new motherhood journey. While motherhood is the best job in the world, let’s face it, it’s not exactly glamorous.

But there is a thing called too much sharing. Which many believe Schumer is guilty of when defending her post-pregnancy body with revealing pictures:

But then again, maybe it’s not about the baby or the body? Schumer couldn’t resist sharing a pre-baby photo of herself — squatting on the john. As one observer simply wrote: “TMI.”
