Trump calls impeachment a ‘coup’ to undo election results, take ‘God-given rights’ from voters

President Donald Trump torched the Democrats’ impeachment stunt as a coup to undo the results of the 2016 election and subvert the will of the 63 million Americans who voted him into office.

“As I learn more and more each day, I am coming to the conclusion that what is taking place is not an impeachment, it is a COUP intended to take away the power of the People, their VOTE,” Trump tweeted.

The president added that the left’s impeachment efforts are a way to take away Americans’ “God-given rights as a citizen of the United States.”

Trump also posted a video showing Democrats Chuck Schumer and Jerry Nadler vociferously opposing impeachment when Republicans did it to Bill Clinton.

In 1998, Nadler called the impeachment of Bill Clinton “an undoing of a national election. They are ripping asunder our votes. They are telling us our votes don’t count and the election must be set aside.”

The video ended with Congressman Al Green admitting that the Democrats are pursuing impeachment because that’s the only way to stop Trump from getting re-elected. “I’m concerned that if we don’t impeach this president, he will get re-elected,” Green said.

In other words, Democrats are cavalierly using impeachment as a defensive political strategy, in the same way they casually use abortion as birth control.

There is mounting evidence that the impeachment stunt is merely an effort to unseat President Trump because the left doesn’t like him.

While leftists constantly screech that Hillary Clinton allegedly got 3 million more popular votes than Trump did, they ignore that the United States has used electoral votes to select its president for more than 200 years.

If you don’t like the election process, then you need to tell your Congressmen and Senators to change the laws — not launch a sham impeachment process.

Former Congressman Jason Chaffetz said Speaker Nancy Pelosi has not held a formal vote on impeachment in the House because this charade is a PR stunt designed to manipulate public opinion during an election year.

“It failed three times before, but more importantly [if Pelosi took a vote], then the minority [Republicans] would get some rights,” Chaffetz explained. “Nancy Pelosi does not want the minority to have subpoena authority (to subpoena Hunter Biden).”

Chaffetz added: “[The Democrats] want to issue subpoenas, but they don’t want to give the minority the right to do the same thing. It’s time for Republicans to play offense.”

As it is, President Trump did nothing wrong during his July call to Ukraine’s president. former U.S. Attorney Joe diGenova explained:

“The president of the United States is the executive branch under Article 2 [of the United States Constitution]. He is the chief law enforcement officer of the United States. He can ask anyone — a citizen, a foreign leader — a question. He can make a suggestion about an investigation because he runs them.”

As BizPac Review reported, the left-wing impeachment stunt is backfiring.

Eric Trump pointed out that the Trump campaign scored $15 million in the 72 hours following the Democrats’ launching of their “impeachment inquiry.”

Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale tweeted that the impeachment efforts have energized Trump supporters in an “ABSOLUTELY HUGE” way.

Parscale said the Trump campaign has twice as much cash on hand as Barack Obama did at the same point in 2011.
