Mark Hamill, known better to the world as Luke Skywalker in the “Stars Wars” franchise, took a deep dive into politics over the weekend.

The actor is earning criticism on social media for a snarky comment he made about a photo of Ivanka Trump with her husband and one of her sons dressed as a stormtrooper.

“The Force is strong in my family,” Ivanka captioned the photo.

Hamill saw the photo and his eyes went red.

“You misspelled ‘Fraud,'” Hamill responded to the picture.

The photo is Ivanka in a strapless black dress next to her husband, Jared Kushner, in a tuxedo. One of her sons is next to her having fun in a stormtrooper costume.

How sad is it that Hamill can’t even let politics go long enough to enjoy a photo of a kid who is obviously a fan of the franchise that made him famous?

Plenty of folks were quick to point out that Hamill’s comment was inappropriate.

Despite being a public figure who advocates for women, Ivanka Trump inspires some very bitter reactions on the left, so Hamill’s tweet shouldn’t be that much of a surprise. What makes it stand out is the fact that the actor could not even handle his leftist rage when dealing with the image of a child who is obviously a fan. Can’t people ever give politics a break, even for a moment?

Hamill joins celebrities like Woody Harrelson and Robert De Niro in recently ranting angrily about conservatives and the Trump family. Not a great way to sell movies, by the way.

Hamill made a comeback on the big screen in recent years thanks to returning to the “Star Wars” franchise. He will next be seen in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” which will be released in theaters this December.
