Conservative radio icon Rush Limbaugh says the flailing Democratic Party is scrambling because their feckless impeachment strategy and debunked Ukraine accusations are backfiring on them, as evidenced by President Trump’s rising approval numbers.
“Why is Trump at 50%, up to 53 now in Rasmussen? The blowback is happening!” Limbaugh told the 15.5 million listeners of his Sirius radio show. “They just don’t see it!”
Limbaugh said the Trump-hating Left and their media minions are so infested with pathological Trump Derangement Syndrome that they can’t even see how it’s destroying the Democratic Party and energizing the political Right.
“Their media is not telling them about blowback,” Rush said. “Their media isn’t reporting what people that disagree with them are saying or doing. They’re ignorant of it.”
Limbaugh said the Left’s hatred of President Trump will ultimately be their undoing when he wins in a 2020 landslide. Why? Because hate blinds you and makes you do dumb, self-destructive things.
“Hatred’s a poison, folks. It is a poison,” Rush said. “They’re not thinking about blowback. They’re not concerned about blowback. They don’t think anybody likes Trump. They think everybody is as frustrated as they are that Trump is still there. Their psychology is so destroyed, so messed up.”
Limbaugh said the left-wing and the Democratic Party are so triggered because they’ve never encountered someone like Trump, who refuses to back down and calls them out on their BS.
“Donald Trump is somebody they’ve not encountered,” Limbaugh said. “They have yet to endeavor to understand who he is. They have yet to take the time to find out who his supporters are and why they are. They have yet to actually take the business steps necessary to learn how to beat him. They think they already have.”
Dismissing and mocking Trump is how the Left ended up losing to him in 2016 — and it looks like they’re repeating the same mistake in the upcoming election. “He’s put a giant minefield in their effort to socialize the United States,” Limbaugh said.
Last week, Rush Limbaugh spotlighted the booming Trump economy and said that’s why the media and the Left are attacking him so viciously: Because they’re trying to gaslight voters.

There has been a lot of media hype about an impending recession, fueled in part by the ongoing US-China trade war, as well as by economic slowdowns in Europe and Asia.
However, the U.S. consumer — the engine of the economy — apparently still has supreme confidence in the U.S. economy, as evidenced by their spending habits.
According to a Commerce Department report, retail sales in August rose 0.4% from July — doubling Wall Street expectations of 0.2%.
Moreover, August consumer spending spiked 4.6% from the year-ago period. Consumer spending is a leading indicator of sentiment about the economy, so it appears that Americans are ignoring the media’s constant fear-mongering.
“The winds of recession aren’t coming closer to shore if the consumer continues to buy their hearts out,” said economist Chris Rupkey.
Tim Quinlan, a senior economist at Wells Fargo Securities LLC, agrees. “At a time when recession risk dominates most economic discussions, the strength of the U.S. consumer is among the more compelling examples of an economy that is still firing on all cylinders,” Quinlan wrote.
