Giuliani and Cuomo battle it out New Yorker style in loud, hostile interview

Rudy Giuliani battled it out with CNN’s Chris Cuomo over a new report involving a whistleblower and alleged misconduct by Donald Trump with a foreign leader.

“I’m glad I’m on tonight because what you just said is totally erroneous,” Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani began after Cuomo relayed the latest “bombshell” spurred by The New York Times.

“Every single thing you just said is completely spun in the same direction you’ve been doing for two years!”

Allegations against Trump claim he attempted to strong-arm Ukrainian leaders in order to dig dirt on political opponents – namely Joe Biden.

As BPR reported in May, Joe Biden allegedly bribed Ukrainian leaders in order to enrich his son.

Former Vice President Joe Biden is drawing scrutiny over his role in a Ukranian gas company that appointed his son, Hunter Biden, to the board of directors.

The company, Burisma, was being investigated by Ukraine’s top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, and as vice president, Biden pressured the Ukrainian government to oust him, threatening to withhold $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees, according to the New York Times.

In other words, Giuliani is over the target.

Giuliani was quick to turn the focus back on Biden, claiming the former Vice President used his leverage in 2016 and “bribed the president of the Ukraine in order to fire a prosecutor who was investigating his son.”

Watch the first part of the interview below:

Giuliani slammed Democrats and liberal media for ignoring bombshell stories regarding Biden and foreign leaders.

The back and forth got heated as Giuliani denied he had asked Ukraine to investigate Biden.

“I didn’t. I asked Ukraine to investigate the allegations that there was interference in the election of 2016 by the Ukrainians for the benefit of Hillary Clinton for which there already…” Giuliani said.

Cuomo pressed on, asking Giuliani specifically if he had ever asked about Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.

That’s when Giuliani contradicted himself, and Cuomo found his gotcha moment.

“The only thing I asked is to get to the bottom of how it was that the guy who was appointed dismissed the case against Antac,” Giuliani responded.

“So you did ask Ukraine to look into Joe Biden,” Cuomo pointed out.

“Of course, I did,” Giuliani said.

“You just said you didn’t!” Cuomo shot back.

Watch more the segment below:

The interview turned up a notch further when Giuliani denied knowing about any communications between Trump and Ukraine. He called the latest allegations a plot to undermine the president.

The testy segment devolved into personal insults and mudslinging over the “deep state.”

Giuliani has been hot on the trail of Biden’s suspect behavior for months. In May, he said on Fox News Sean Hannity:

“If Donald Trump Jr. got $1.5 billion from the Chinese, you don’t think we’d be going crazy? Well, Biden’s kid got $1.5 billion from China for a start-up private equity fund while the old man was giving us away to China.” Giuliani said

“He flew the kid there on Air Force 2… And he’d just been tossed out of the military for being a drug addict.”

Giuliani didn’t mince words with Cuomo either, repeatedly telling him he has an “agenda” and calling him a “sell out.”
