Joy Behar claims she knows “murderers and pimps” who act better than Corey Lewandowski and Brett Kavanaugh.
“The View” co-host went into her rant following Lewandowski’s testimony before the House Judiciary Hearing where the former Trump campaign official made it clear he was not taking hits lying down.
“I couldn’t stand watching it or listening to it on the radio,” Behar said of Lewandowski’s Tuesday testimony.
“I have taught juvenile delinquents who are more respectful in a classroom than this guy, than Kavanaugh,” she continued.
She went on by bringing up Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
“Than Kavanaugh. Remember Kavanaugh?” she said. “And others who are in this administration who are working for Trump. I’ve had kids who were murderers and pimps who behaved better than this!”
Co-host Meghan McCain, who is typically the only one with a clear head on the wacky talk program, replied, “You’ve taught a murderer and a pimp?”
“I have,” Behar said.
The “murderers and pimps” line is an extreme statement — even for Behar — and it really shows how deep her Trump Derangement Syndrome runs.
For anyone wondering, Behar taught high school English before finding success as a standup comedian and as a co-host on “The View.”
Behar believes the Lewandowski and Kavanaugh testimonies are only making the American people support the idea of impeachment even more.
“I think that the American people are watching this, and maybe that’s the answer. Let’s just indict and show what they’re like. That’s why I believe maybe Nancy’s going to move towards impeachment soon. Put it on TV. Let’s see what it is!” she said.
As usual, Behar was speaking to a near-universal chorus of agreement. Co-host Whoopi Goldberg said we are currently living in a “lawless country” because the Trump administration thinks it’s “above the law.”
“And if you don’t see it, it’s because your eyes are closed. Open your eyes!” she added.
Calling Lewandowski before the House Judiciary Committee was yet another sad attempt by Democrats to prove Trump obstructed justice during the investigation into Russia meddling into the 2016 presidential election. Lewandowski was as openly hostile to House Dems as they were to him.
Politico reported that Pelosi told Democrats in a private chat following the hearing that they should have held Lewandowski in contempt for his sometimes refusal to answer questions and follow instructions.
“When you refuse to answer these questions, you are obstructing the work of our committee. You are also proving our point for the American people to see: The president is intent on obstructing our legitimate oversight. You are aiding him in that obstruction,” New York Representative Jerry Nadler told Lewandowski at one point during the hearing.
Lewandowski made his feelings on the hearing and investigations into Trump clear from the get-go.
“It is now clear the investigation was populated by many Trump haters who had their own agenda — to try and take down a duly elected president of the United States,” he said at one point.
He added, “As for actual ‘collusion,’ or ‘conspiracy,’ there was none. What there has been, however, is harassment of the president from the day he won the election.”
However you feel about Lewandowski — or Kavanaugh for that matter — to say he is worse behaved than people who murder and prostitute other people is ridiculous. And the fact that this needs to be said is even more ridiculous.
