Sinema proud of bipartisanship, responds to Dems punishing her for accommodating Trump

Despite a lengthy history of trashing Republicans as veritable meth-smoking crazies, among other things, Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema has actually proven herself to be a surprisingly level-headed, bipartisan legislator who’s willing to lead on the issues with logic, not emotions.

According to the Arizona Mirror, in fact, she’s the “most bipartisan Democrat in the U.S. Senate so far in the current congressional term.”

“Nearly three of every five bills that Sen. Kyrsten Sinema has cosponsored have Republican sponsors, say analysts from Quorum Analytics, a firm that tracks congressional action,” the independent news outlet reported late last month.

“Her 58% bipartisan cosponsor rate places her atop the heap among Democratic senators. Her closest competitors in that regard are Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) and Sen. Doug Jones (D-Ala.)”

The only two other members of the Senate that she trails vis-à-vis bipartisanship are Republicans Sens. Susan Collins Lisa Murkowski.

Why the sudden share? Likely because of efforts by radicals in the Arizona Democrat Party who’re targeting her for being a reasonable pragmatist versus a screeching ideologue.

“Sinema is facing a censure vote from the Arizona Democratic Party, brought by progressives who deem her politics too accommodating to President Donald Trump at the expense of Democratic values,” The Arizona Republic confirmed Tuesday.

“They cite in particular her vote to confirm Trump’s nominee, David Bernhardt, to serve as secretary of the Interior, and her vote to confirm William Barr as U.S. attorney general. They also cited her resistance to join Democrats in trying to reinstate ‘net neutrality’ rules to prevent internet providers from throttling any websites. The Progressive Caucus of the Arizona Democratic Party is bringing the resolution.”

The nature of the party’s complaints against her suggests that it’s so-called “Democratic values” are obstruction and ignorance. There was no justifiable reason to block Attorney General Bill Barr and Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt’s confirmations.

There likewise is no reason to reinstate “net neutrality” rules, especially given the positive effects that its elimination by President Donald Trump has engendered.

“Here’s the thing: We really support Kyrsten Sinema, we want her to succeed, we want her to be the best senator in the country,” Dan O’Neal, the state coordinator for Progressive Democrats of America, told The Arizona Republic. “But the way she is voting is really disappointing. We want Democrats to vote like Democrats and not Republicans.”

While it’s not clear what exactly it means to “vote like Democrats” — does it mean to vote in favor of illegal aliens, convicted murderers, and rapists? — Sinema’s record shows that she’s voted in favor of American veterans, in favor of the American people at large and in favor of cops.

“Sinema sponsored the LEGION Act, which allows more veterans to join American Legion, and a measure that makes it easier for people to refinance VA housing loans,” the Arizona Mirror notes.

And during her tenure from 2013 to 2019 as a member of the House, she voted in favor of a bill that made it easier for prosecutors to seek the death penalty against suspects accused of “killing or targeting a law enforcement officer, firefighter, or other first responders.”

She even voted in favor of the Criminal Alien Gang Member Removal Act, a bill designed to make it significantly easier for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to apprehend and deport gang-affiliated illegal aliens.

According to Antonia Noori Farzan, a radically far-left Democrat who now works for The Washington Post (but of course …), during Sinema’s last year in the House, she “supported the anti-immigrant garbage known as ‘Kate’s Law.'”

It’s not clear what about “Kate’s Law,” which was written on behalf of an innocent American woman (aka a “dead white woman,” according to Farzan) who was killed because of the action of an illegal alien, makes it “anti-immigrant.”

In 2015, Sinema likewise “introduced legislation aimed at cracking down on the U.S. visa waiver program and was one of only six Democrats to vote to punish sanctuary cities,” Farzan’s rant, which was published in the Phoenix New Times two years ago, continues.

“And she joined Republicans in passing bills intended to deregulate the banking industry and attack the Affordable Care Act’s employer mandate.”

These impassioned complaints by Farzan, who describes herself as a “journalist,” are important because they speak to the radicalism that’s responsible for the attempted censure of Sinema.

In another “report” published in 2017, Farzan argued that the congresswoman’s support for Kate’s Law was wrong because it was designed to “perpetuate Trump’s false narrative of white women as innocent victims, and Latino men as the dangerous criminals who they need to be protected from.”

That’s a stunning, emotionally wrought opinion that doesn’t even remotely coincide with the facts — the victims of illegal alien crimes in fact run the gamut of colors — but that does accurately portray the radicalism that’s taken hold of the entire Democrat Party and now threatens to ruin the congresswoman’s otherwise successful political career.
