Take it slow, Joe: Biden promises more jobs for women than there are U.S. citizens

The more candidate Joe Biden hits the stump, the more President Donald Trump hopes he prevails.

Fresh off the bizarre tale of a young Biden facing down a gang leader named “Corn Pop,” besting the thug’s switchblade with a 6-foot length of chain, the Democratic front-runner spoke about putting American women back to work.

To be exact, 720 million women.

The problem is, that figure is about 400 million more than the entire population of the United States.

Biden, 76, was speaking Tuesday at a Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO conference when he dropped his latest gaffe.

“Why in god’s name shouldn’t we provide an $8,000 tax credit for everybody who has childcare costs,” he told the audience. “It would put 720 million women back into the workforce.”

The Republican National Committee wasted no time highlighting the blunder.

“Despite US population of only 330 million, Biden says child tax credit would put 720 million women back into the workforce,” read the caption of a tweet sharing the clip.

Biden’s blunders are becoming legendary. He has claimed that he was vice president when the shooting in Parkland, Fla., took place in Feb. 2018, and there was an incident last month where he appeared to forget Barack Obama’s name while discussing their accomplishments in the White House.

And there was the Iowa event, where Biden declared that “poor kids” are “just as talented as white kids.”

Of all of his stumbles, Biden uttered the worst possible words during a campaign stop in New Hampshire when he became befuddled about where he spoke just a few hours earlier at nearby Dartmouth College.

“I want to be clear, I’m not going nuts,” he told the crowd. “I’m not sure whether it was the medical school or where the hell I spoke. But it was on the campus.”

The Trump campaign released a video Tuesday that highlights Biden’s many verbal gaffes, along with commentary from liberal talking heads questioning if he is up to the task.

The video will have to be edited to include Tuesday’s screw up.

Yes, it seems Biden is slowly but surely losing the confidence of many Americans, to include plenty from his own party.

Here’s a sampling of responses to Tuesday’s blooper from Twitter, beginning with former GOP speaker Newt Gingrich:
