Conservative sleuths believe they’ve uncovered indisputable evidence proving that anti-Semitic Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar did indeed marry her own brother for the purposes of committing immigration fraud.
The proof is a tweet she posted on Jun 16, 2013. Though the actual tweet has since been deleted, a Google search showed that it was still archived by the search engine as of Tuesday morning:

“Happy Father’s Day to my aabo Nur Said, I am forever grateful to Allah for giving me the best father…” the since-deleted tweet read.
It linked to an accompanying Instagram post that’s also been deleted.
The tweet was first brought to the public’s attention late Monday evening by Mohamad Tawhidi, a Muslim reformist who’s been critical of Omar over her anti-Semitism and clear-cut ties to Islamic extremism.
“Your father is Nur Said? Not: Nur Omar Mohamed?” he tweeted via his “Imam of Peace” account. “So you’re Ilhan Nur Said? And you married Ahmed Nur Said, You married your brother.”
It would appear so …

Your father is Nur Said?
Not: Nur Omar Mohamed? So you’re Ilhan Nur Said?
And you married Ahmed Nur Said,
You married your brother.
(Most Americans don’t know that in most Muslim countries, the surname is actually the father’s name)

This means her real name is Ilhan Nur Said
Some examples for Non-Muslims/Those not from Middle East & North Africa:
1. ‘Mohammad Salman’ means: Mohammad the son of Salman.
2. ‘Mohammad Zayed’ means Mohammad the son of Zayed.
• Ilhan’s dad is Nur Said. She’s: ‘Ilhan Nur Said’

‘Bint’ means ‘daughter of’. That’s usually not included in the official legal documents. What’s written is: Ilhan Nur Said. But spoken as: Ilhan Bint Nur Said.
‘Bint’ is an ARABIC word. Somalis don’t use ‘bint’.
If her dad is Nur Said, as she says.
Then she is: Ilhan Nur Said.

Since at least the time that she began her career in politics, Omar has been publicly identifying her father as Nur Omar Mohamed. Members of the left-wing media, including Snopes and The Washington Post, have also listed him, not Nur Said, as her father.
Why then did she wish this mysterious Nur Said — whom she’d described as her “aabo,” an Arabic term for father — happy Father’s Day in the tweet she’d posted in 2013? Why then does she identify as Ilhan Omar versus Ilhan Nur Said? And what then explains the name of her former husband?
According to the Star Tribune, documents released during a probe into possible state campaign finance violations committed by Omar during her time as a member of the Minnesota state House show that she’d briefly been married to a man named Ahmed Nur Said Elmi.
Some believe this man is her biological brother.
“The accusation surfaced … as part of a recent investigation of state campaign finance violations stemming from her successful 2016 run for the Minnesota House,” the Tribune revealed in an investigative report published over the summer.
“Documents released in that probe showed that Omar filed federal taxes in 2014 and 2015 with her current husband, Ahmed Hirsi, while legally married to but separated from Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. Although she has legally corrected the discrepancy, she has declined to say anything about how or why it happened, fueling questions about the nature of her relationship with Elmi, a British national.”
Dovetailing back to this week’s findings, they technically aren’t new. Investigative journalist David Steinberg first outed the alleged real name of Omar’s father back in July.
“Her father’s name before applying for asylum was Nur Said Elmi Mohamed,” he wrote. “Her sister Sahra Noor’s name before applying for asylum was Sahra Nur Said Elmi. Her three siblings who were granted asylum by the United Kingdom are Leila Nur Said Elmi, Mohamed Nur Said Elmi, and Ahmed Nur Said Elmi.”
While these allegations haven’t been picked up or corroborated by the mainstream media, if true they would prove without a shadow of a doubt that Omar did indeed marry her brother.
“Ilhan and Ahmed married in 2009, presumably to benefit in some way from a fraudulent marriage. They did not divorce until 2017,” Steinberg’s report continued.

What remains unclear is why the media are ignoring what appears to be the truth. What’s notable is that even Politifact, a demonstrably left-wing fact-checking website, has admitted that these allegations could be legitimate.
“It seemed clear that there is some kind of personal relationship between Omar and Elmi. But whether they are family or not, we can’t tell. We weren’t able to come close to determining whether that was the truth. And frankly, we were wary of drawing any conclusions,” the site admitted in July.
But there’s more.
“They both went to North Dakota State University, and they had overlapping addresses,” PolitFact’s report continued, referring to Omar and Elmi.
“Our public records searches determined that in at least one period after she married Elmi, all three (Omar, Elmi and Hirsi) used the same address in Minnesota. It raises questions about the nature of the relationship if she is living with both the person she’s married to and her eventual husband. What’s really made it hard is that she’s been unwilling to address any of these questions.”
It seems clear that there’s at least enough evidence — growing evidence, in fact, given the tweet that was exposed Monday and subsequently deleted by Omar — to justify an investigation. However, neither congressional Democrats nor the media have shown any interest in investigating the matter.
