“The View” co-host Meghan McCain was trashed by her leftist colleagues for saying she won’t relinquish her Second-Amendment right to own a gun.
The brouhaha erupted yesterday during a heated panel discussion about gun-control laws following the recent mass shooting in Odessa, Texas. There, a white man killed 7 random people shortly after getting fired from his job.
As BizPac Review pointed out, the shooter failed a background check but still got his hands on a gun.
This underscores legal gun owners’ point that stricter gun-control laws are not the answer, since criminals always find a way to get guns. Why? Because criminals don’t care about laws.
On The View, McCain slammed a proposal by flailing Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke, who’s calling for a mandatory assault-weapons buyback.
“If you’re going to be a gun grabber, you don’t get my vote,” Meghan sniffed.
Co-host Joy Behar responded by saying that if you keep voting for Republicans, nothing will be done to change gun laws.
“Democrats, when they’re in office, they do something about guns,” Behar said. “So if you keep rooting for Republicans, you’re going to get nothing done [as far as gun laws],” she said.

McCain clapped back by saying that taking away assault weapons would fuel more violence.
“The AR-15 is by far the most popular gun in America,” McCain said. “If you’re talking about taking people’s guns away from them, there’s going to be a lot of violence.”
Behar countered by saying, “They lived without them for many years during the ban [under Bill Clinton’s presidency].”
“I’m not living without guns,” McCain quipped. “It’s just that simple.”
Co-host Sunny Hostin chimed in: “What about living without the assault weapons that are killing our children?”
Naturally, Hostin and other leftists always ignore that multiple shootings occur every weekend in the Democratic-led city of Chicago — which has among the toughest gun-control laws in the United States.
This past weekend alone, 8 people were killed and 34 were injured in shootings. Where’s the leftist outrage?
In other words, there were more people killed in a random weekend shooting in Chicago than the 7 people who were killed in Odessa, Texas. Guess which shooting the media are obsessing over?
Similarly, in the Democratic-led city of Philadelphia, 4 people were shot dead, and 8 others were injured this past weekend alone.
Where is the Left’s crocodile tears over the deaths in this city, which has strict gun-control laws?
How about Baltimore? This weekend, 8 people were shot and 2 died, including a triple-shooting near an elementary school. Where’s the left-wing outrage?
In the shootings that occur every single weekend in Chicago, Baltimore, and Philadelphia, the gun violence is usually black-on-black crime. So naturally, the left-wing media ignores them because it doesn’t promote their narrative/agenda.
In Odessa, Texas, the shooter was a white man. So of course, the media is all over that incident like white on rice.
The race-baiting media gleefully foments racial division in the country by saying every white person is a white supremacist. They even claim that minorities who are not leftists are also white supremacists.
By doing this, they belie their own underlying racism by suggesting that black lives matter — but only when they’re taken by whites.
As for Meghan McCain, we knew that her stint as a leftist hero would be short-lived.
The Left exulted her because she has repeatedly trashed President Donald Trump. In fact, Meghan even used the eulogy she delivered for her late dad, RINO Senator John McCain, to attack Trump.

Despite all the trash-talking Meghan has done against Trump, she forgets that the Left will never truly accept her.
What proof? The minute McCain expressed her support for the Second Amendment, she was viciously dragged online.
Leftist trolls fat-shamed her and predictably played the Race Card on her. (Ironic, since Meghan has called President Trump racist).

You’re “not living without guns”? Or copious amounts of ice cream & other fattening foods. Yes, I went there. But I have a rule. I only fat shame Meghan McCain & Donald Trump. 😹

So @MeghanMcCain just yelled on the @TheView "I'm not living without guns!" & I can't get the echo out of my head. That after yet another mass shooting. How is this person still on TV? Please stand up @ABCNetwork & take your official place as part of the problem. #TheView

Meghan McCain is what happens when white mediocrity and privilege prevails. #TheView

She is nothing but a big fat cow. If it wasn’t for her father she would be flipping burgers at Burger King. She needs to shut her fat mouth about guns.

Meghan McCain is the living, breathing embodiment of white privilege.
