Trump to supporters: ‘Start looking for new news outlet. Fox isn’t working for us, anymore’

President Donald Trump took aim at Fox News in a series of Wednesday tweets.

Though the network is often accused by leftists of being too supportive of the president, Trump has grown more and more critical of Fox News recently.

“Just watched @FoxNews heavily promoting the Democrats through their DNC Communications Director, spewing out whatever she wanted with zero pushback by anchor, @SandraSmithFox. Terrible considering that Fox couldn’t even land a debate, the Dems give them NOTHING!” the president tweeted.

He then added, “@CNN & @MSNBC are all in for the Open Border Socialists (or beyond). Fox hires ‘give Hillary the questions’ @donnabrazile, Juan Williams and low ratings Shep Smith. HOPELESS & CLUELESS! They should go all the way LEFT and I will still find a way to Win – That’s what I do, Win. Too Bad!”

Trump went on to say that Fox News is “no longer working” for conservatives. He even suggested that conservatives start looking for a new news network.

“I don’t want to Win for myself, I only want to Win for the people. The New @FoxNews is letting millions of GREAT people down! We have to start looking for a new News Outlet. Fox isn’t working for us anymore!” he tweeted.

Trump’s tweets followed DNC Communications Director Xochitl Hinojosa making an appearance on “America’s Newsroom” in the 9 am hour.

“Thanks for watching. It’s pronounced So-Chi, you know, like the city in Russia,” Xochitl Hinojosa wrote on Twitter in response to the president.

During her appearance on “America’s Newsroom” the communications director took a handful of shots at Trump, citing polls that have several Democrat candidates with more support than the president.

Though Fox News did not directly engage with Trump, several current and former employees pushed back on the president’s criticisms.

“Fox News isn’t supposed to work for you,” Fox senior political analyst Brit Hume tweeted.

Andy Levy, who previously helped produce and host Fox News’ long-running “Red Eye,” replied to Hume’s tweet by saying, “That’s true it’s not supposed to.”

Fox News contributor Guy Benson also replied to Trump’s tweets.

Though Trump’s relationship with Fox News has soured, many on the left ironically still see the network as too closely tied to the administration. The DNC announced earlier this year that Fox News would not be allowed to host a Democratic presidential debate because of its alleged ties to the current administration.

Though the president regularly retweets segments from certain Fox News hosts, this is not the first time he has set his sights on the network in a negative way.

“Impossible to believe that @FoxNews has hired @donnabrazile, the person fired by @CNN (after they tried to hide the bad facts, & failed) for giving Crooked Hillary Clinton the questions to a debate, something unimaginable,” he tweeted after the network hired Donna Brazile.

The president continued, “Now she is all over Fox, including Shep Smith, by far their lowest rated show. Watch the @FoxNews weekend daytime anchors, who are terrible, go after her big time. That’s what they want — but it sure is not what the audience wants!”
