Joy Reid: Hitler wasn’t stopped because people think white conservative men are normal

The progressive left scoffs at the notion they are engaged in a war on straight white men, but that doesn’t prevent them from singling out the demographic on a regular basis for vile attacks.

According to the perpetually aggrieved left’s critical race theory, all white people are inherently racist, but they reserved their strongest ire for white males as they push a myth of white privilege while denouncing patriarchy.

Lost in the week’s news was a Sunday segment of MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” where host Joy Reid compared what she sees as benign coverage of President Donald Trump to how Adolf Hitler was treated leading up to World War Two.

“I have this old set of New York Times front covers … to show how benign the coverage was even in the 1930s, as the world was about to burn down in World War Two,” Reid said. “And the just sort of benign things, you know, it’s like a tick of wanting to see world leaders — in that case of Germany — they just want to see them as normal and I don’t know where that comes from, but it is really — and I think it wouldn’t be so if those leaders were not white men, I have to say.”

“White Republican men,” someone on the panel interjected.

Reid continued to suggest that much like Nazism wasn’t normal in the 1930s, even if the media portrayed it that way, white conservative men are portrayed the same way today.

While holding up one of the most radically left presidential candidates in a crowded field, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., as a “totally normal politician.”

“White Republican—white conservative [men]. There’s a sense that conservatism is normal, and that white conservative men are the norm, and that anything but that — I mean, you almost have Elizabeth Warren almost being depicted as some sort of crazy communist when she’s a totally normal politician who just wants people to have health care,” Reid said.

Warren may be seen as normal at MSNBC, but tens of millions of Americans would strongly disagree that open borders and free health care for illegal immigrants are mainstream ideals.

Earlier in the segment, Reid made the sensational accusation that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., controls who has power in the country and that this cabal of whites will only relinquish this control to “the non-white majority” when the U.S. is destitute.

“You know, somebody said to me this week, I thought was so smart, that it’s almost as if Mitch McConnell’s plan is that they know the demographics are what they are, and that the only way they’re willing to hand power to the non-white majority in this country ever is if the country is completely a shell and broke, and they’ll hand them the broken pieces and keep all the wealth for themselves,” she said.

It’s the height of irresponsibility that Reid is allowed to spew unchecked her racially divisive rhetoric which only serves to drive hate in the hearts of her low information viewers.

Much like we saw over the weekend when a Duke University psychiatry professor was allowed to say on CNN that President Donald Trump “is as destructive a person in this century, as Hitler, Stalin, and Mao were in the last century,” and may be responsible for tens of millions of deaths.

The insanity spewed unchecked, yet these same networks pounce on every tragedy to blame it on the president’s rhetoric.
