Disgraced former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, one of the central figures in the Russia collusion delusional conspiracy theory/hoax perpetrated by the so-called ‘deep state’, has been hired by CNN.
“Andrew McCabe has been signed as a contributor,” Fox News host Steve Doocy revealed Friday morning on “Fox & Friends” as he read from a tweet posted moments earlier by CNN senior media reporter Oliver Darcy.
In response, fellow network host Jeanine Pirro burst out laughing.
Source: Fox News
Pirro was on “Fox & Friends” that morning to promote her soon-to-be-released book, Radicals, Resistance, and Revenge: The Left’s Plot to Remake America.”
Why the unrestrained laughter, though? Partly because of McCabe’s sordid history:
In 2016, he leaked documents to The Wall Street Journal about the bureau’s then-ongoing investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. When questioned later by investigators about these leaks, he lied. Months later, he was fired in 2018 for his lack of “candor.”
REMINDER: Andrew McCabe was fired by the FBI for leaking and getting caught lying about it.
ANOTHER REMINDER: @CNN ceased being a “news organization” a long time ago. They’re now a fully integrated anti-Trump propaganda network and they don’t even try hiding it anymore. https://t.co/LiDCq813lJ

Andrew McCabe, one of the central figures of the “Russia collusion” hoax, who was fired from the FBI for lying about his leaks to the media, has been hired by CNN, one of the media outlets that did the most to perpetuate the damaging hoax. pic.twitter.com/lvfPRCk4tb

BREAKING: @CNN Announced today they signed disgraced ex-FBI Agent & Serial Liar Andrew McCabe as a contributor.
He’s under criminal referral for lying multiple times under oath.
He has no credibility & nothing he says can be trusted…
Which makes him perfect for CNN! ??

“He left in disgrace, and I believe there’s a criminal referral by the inspector general,” Pirro noted on “Fox & Friends.” “I expect him to be indicted soon based on that criminal referral.”
“The Justice Department’s inspector general referred its findings on former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe to the US attorney’s office in Washington for possible criminal charges associated with lying to internal investigators, according to a source familiar with the matter,” CNN reported in April of 2017.
“In the end, what you’ve got now — CNN is showing its true colors — a guy who was in the middle of this … as to whether or not there was this ‘deep state’ to prevent Trump from becoming president and then framing him for Russian collusion, he’s part of the whole thing, and that’s why he’s working for CNN. He’s perfect for them!” Pirro continued.
Her laughter was also provoked by CNN’s stunning hypocrisy. The announcement pertaining to McCabe was made less than 24 hours after the network made a big stink over Fox News hiring former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
According to Darcy and CNN chief media correspondent Brian Stelter, Sanders is a liar, and her alleged history of endless lies makes her undeserving of a position of “fame and privilege.”
Wrote this about Spicer and ABC last night, now it applies to Sanders and Fox too: How should ex-White House officials be treated when they spend months misleading the public, then seek positions of fame and privilege?

.@brianstelter: Spicer and Sanders new TV jobs “deserve outrage and backlash” because “this administration lies consistently, whether it’s Sanders or Spicer or other White House aides.”https://t.co/9ml69AKHVC pic.twitter.com/1Zuf5LrliE

The problem with such statements is that, one, they can’t be believed because CNN has a history of twisting Sanders’ words and labeling factual statements as lies.
Second is the irony of CNN criticizing FNC for hiring a liar and then turning around and hiring a corrupt former government official who was fired from the FBI for lying.
To many critics, including Pirro, it seems awfully telling:
Less than 24 hours after questioning Fox decision to hire Sarah Huckabee Sanders as contributor, CNN announces it has hired…Andrew McCabe. Look forward to his commentary on Horowitz IG report. https://t.co/8bu4LJzLQp

Yesterday Brian Stelter criticized Fox for hiring Sarah Sanders because he claimed she was dishonest.
Today CNN hired Andrew McCabe who was fired by the FBI for leaking and lying.
This is CNN…

Andy McCabe hired by CNN…there’s your real story. Sanders wasn’t fired in a disgraceful manner
— PCGamerCaptain (@PCGamerCapt) August 23, 2019
Are you serious? Shouldn’t someone at CNN have told you about this before you and @brianstelter made a huge deal about Sarah Sanders joining Fox yesterday & clowning yourselves? McCabe is a liar (supposedly bad according to you) & he participated in the coup attempt. Unreal

A day after CNN chief media correspondent @brianstelter said Spicer and Sanders new TV jobs ‘deserve outrage and backlash’ because they lied as WH press secs, CNN hires former FBI official Andrew McCabe, who was fired for lack of candor — https://t.co/jRAFcRhYpO — @dcexaminer
