Just yesterday, CNN lost their marbles over the news that Fox News Channel had hired former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders “to provide political commentary and analysis.”
This information was still hot off the presses when the liberal pundits disguising themselves as journalists over at CNN took the opportunity to opine on the intellectual acquisition.
Brian Stelter led the charge with his assertion that Sanders’ new job (as well as the news that Sean Spicer agreed to do “Dancing With the Stars“) was deserving of “outrage and backlash.”

This came after his tweet questioning how former Trump administration employees should be treated following their departure from the White House.
Wrote this about Spicer and ABC last night, now it applies to Sanders and Fox too: How should ex-White House officials be treated when they spend months misleading the public, then seek positions of fame and privilege?

Less than 24 hours after FNC’s announcement and CNN’s subsequent meltdown, the liberal news outlet made an announcement of its own:
Some news: CNN announces Andrew McCabe has been signed as a contributor.
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) August 23, 2019
So while CNN’s talking heads were lamenting Fox’s hiring of Sanders, they themselves were working on signing disgraced former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, who was fired from his position after leaking documents to the Wall Street Journal regarding the Hillary Clinton email investigation. His lack of candor got him canned, but primed him for a position in the mainstream media, who crave attention from anyone with a negative thing to say about President Trump.

Fox News contributor Guy Benson wasn’t shy about calling out CNN’s blatant hypocrisy, and did so with gusto and style.
McCabe was fired for repeatedly lying to federal investigators under penalty of perjury & referred for prosecution by the IG.
Let’s call an ? an ?: CNN hired an established liar because he hates Trump. The high horse has been put out to pasture. https://t.co/9z1UcIatom

“We interrupt our sanctimonious high dudgeon about Spicer dancing & Sarah getting a TV gig to bring you the following news about a powerful govt official recently terminated for repeatedly lying under oath…
…now back to your regularly-scheduled lectures about Truth & Norms.”
— Guy Benson (@guypbenson) August 23, 2019
So to recap, McCabe:
- “Admonished” FBI officials for leaks that he had authorized
- Provided “not fully accurate” answers to investigators, claiming he was “confused and distracted”
- Allegedly mistreated female employees at the FBI
- Perpetrated the Russia hoax
- Was fired for “lack of candor” in leaking information to the media
For all their bellyaching about liars and misleaders being hired on at Fox, they sure have absolutely no problem doing exactly that as it suits their interests.
So is this an apple, or a banana CNN?
