Elizabeth Warren’s awkward attempt to connect with an Iowa farmer launches hilarious new meme

Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s awkward interaction in middle America provided an entertaining video which launched instant social media mockery.

The Massachusetts Democrat and 2020 presidential contender was seen in the video, shared by the Republican National Committee, listening as an Iowa farmer essentially schooled her on the fallacies of the Green New Deal.

Warren offered very few words during his lesson and, at the mention of the left’s climate change policy proposal, could only muster a half-hearted, “eh” and none of her own facts to counter his sound argument on the plight of Iowa’s farmlands and how the climate plan would affect them.

“We grow these large amounts of commodities that go for fuel or for feeding the livestock, which we should less than corn,” he can be heard telling the senator.

Cattle “are not designed to eat corn,” he noted.

“But yet I would say we shouldn’t get rid of them. You know, the Green New Deal says we need to get rid of cows,” he said, eliciting a hand motion from Warren and an “eh.”

“I don’t agree with that,” the farmer went on, “because well-managed grassland where you rotationally graze, all these paddocks — like that, system there has about eight different paddocks — you’re actually going to use more CO2 and sequester more carbon because of the regrowth all the time. And yet, you know, that’s a permanent pasture.”

“So anyway, my point is we have become so ignorant of the basic principles of biology in food production,” he turned to Warren as he continued, “that we have said, ‘We answer them all through technology,’ instead of a letting Mother Earth and having respect.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rolled out her disastrous climate plan earlier this year to much fanfare and even more mockery. All 2020 Democrats were on-board with the ridiculous proposal that seeks “economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to work” and called for “a full transition off fossil fuels and zero greenhouse gases.”

The six-page Green New Deal FAQ document sent out by the freshman Democrat’s office also stated: “We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast.”

Ocasio-Cortez later had the phrase removed and blamed a draft copy of the document being released too early.

Warren did not address the cows in the video clip and did not even seek to clarify any of the Green New Deal’s points that may have interested him

Instead, her tepid response earned plenty of laughter on Twitter.

And just like that, another meme was born.
