Bum shoulder or not, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his team can still throw social media shade with the best of them.
With Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., taking umbrage over the “groping & choking” of a cardboard cut-out figure of herself by a group of teens wearing “Team Mitch” T-shirts, the real Team Mitch responded in a way most never saw coming.
One of the young men mocked choking the cardboard image, as another embraced it while feigning a kiss — the photo caption stated, “Break me off a piece of that.”
Hey @senatemajldr – these young men look like they work for you.
Just wanted to clarify: are you paying for young men to practice groping & choking members of Congress w/ your payroll, or is this just the standard culture of #TeamMitch?
Thanks. https://t.co/ysRJuwonUx

McConnell’s campaign manager, Kevin Golden, released a statement noting that the boys in the photo are high school students who are not part of the campaign staff.
He also included a photo of a couple of Obama staff members getting handsy with a cardboard cutout of Hillary Clinton.
“Team Mitch in no way condones any aggressive, suggestive, or demeaning act toward life sized cardboard cut outs of any gender in a manner similar to what we saw from President Obama’s speechwriting staff several years ago,” Golden said in the release.

Boom!
Featured in the 2008 photo is Jon Favreau, President Obama’s chief speechwriter, him being the one mock-groping the breast of the cardboard figure.
As political strategist Celeb Hull noted, “Cocaine Mitch strikes again.”

Going on the offensive, Golden called out the left for targeting young Republicans.
“We’ve watched for years as the far-left and the media look for every possible way to demonize, stereotype, and publicly castigate every young person who dares to get involved with Republican politics,” he said in the statement.
Of course, Ocasio-Cortez was so offended by the original photo that she shared it with 5 million of her followers.
Meanwhile, in the real world, far-left protesters turned out at McConnell’s Kentucky home on Sunday night shouting death threats while demanding more stringent gun control. One woman was heard hoping someone “just stabs the mother f*cker in the heart.”
The Republican senator was reportedly home at the time, recovering from a broken shoulder after a fall he suffered.
Here’s a sampling of the responses to Team Mitch’s epic response from Twitter:
Master Troll Level… With one arm tied behind his back even, lol. ?

Also, aren’t the people complaining about the cardboard AOC the same people who regularly make and destroy piñatas of @realDonaldTrump?
