‘Hopping mad’ Kellyanne Conway goes on tirade against media bias, posts string of Dayton shooter’s leftist rants

White House advisor Kellyanne Conway highlighted portions of a CNN report on the Ohio shooter in a Twitter tirade against the left.

Conway slammed critics of President Trump for blaming him for the weekend’s back-to-back mass shootings during an appearance on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” Tuesday, arguing that there is “scant” coverage of reports that the shooter in Dayton had a social media feed that revealed he was anti-Trump and a supporter of Antifa and Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

“I’m hopping mad this morning,” Conway said, slamming the “nonstop punditry” from 2020 Democratic contender Beto O’Rourke, saying that while he is “out there screaming and cursing about President Trump, that doesn’t heal a single soul, that doesn’t help prevent another mass shooting.”

Shortly after her Fox News interview, Conway took to Twitter to bring attention to what the mainstream media is apparently avoiding. Citing CNN’s report on the shooter’s now-deleted Twitter account, she posted a series of tweets focused on points the Democrats will likely want to avoid addressing.

The Daily Beast’s Sam Stein was called out by Conway after her initial tweet, as she cited CNN in her response.

She went on to add more excerpts, “without comment.”

Stein responded to Conway’s question by asking why she believed the shooter had a political motive.

Conway also spoke to reporters outside of the White House Tuesday, slamming 2020 presidential candidates for blatantly accusing Trump of being responsible for the mass shootings.

“This crap has to stop,” she told reporters gathered in the White House driveway, referring to Democratic 2020 contenders “screaming on TV” about Trump.

“None of that’s going to be solved by them raising havoc or raising their profiles on TV just because they’re mired at zero percent or tied with the margin of error in the polls,” she said.

“It looks like this Dayton monster, the shooter in Ohio, had leftist leanings and a Twitter feed that was complimentary of Antifa, complimentary of Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders,” she continued. “Am I blaming them for the shooting? Of course not. I wouldn’t do that, any more than I would blame AOC for the fact that the guy who wanted to shoot up the ICE detention center just weeks ago in Washington State was parroting her language about consecration camps and ICE.”

“We can’t get our advice from people screaming on TV,” she said. “Those who are elected to do their jobs here in Washington, should either return to Congress or come back to the White House to speak to the president.”
