AOC blames El Paso shooting ‘directly’ on Trump, brutally reminded of firebomb assault on ICE

With the news that her chief of staff/handler abruptly resigned amid a federal probe, it’s beginning to look as if Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s act is finally beginning to wear on people — the remarkable thing being that it took this long.

So much so that even Guy Benson, one of the more measured conservative pundits, called her “a nonstop demagogic clown show.”

The democratic socialist lawmaker from New York has been in office for seven months, and what an eventful seven months it has been. The latest antics from the 29-year-old former bartender was seen on Monday, when she said President Trump’s immigration rhetoric was “directly responsible” for the mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, that left at least 22 people dead, according to The Hill.

The Democrat was speaking at a vigil in Brooklyn for the victims of the El Paso and Dayton, Ohio, shootings, pushing the left’s “white supremacist terrorism” narrative.

According to the freshman lawmaker – who is often referred to as the “Bronx nitwit” by critics – “white supremacy is an international terrorist problem.”

This is coming as Trump strongly condemned “racism, bigotry and white supremacy” in a national address Monday — a message Democrats and their media allies have been working hard to detract from.

“In one voice, our nation must condemn racism, bigotry, and white supremacy.  These sinister ideologies must be defeated.  Hate has no place in America.  Hatred warps the mind, ravages the heart, and devours the soul,” the president said. “We have asked the FBI to identify all further resources they need to investigate and disrupt hate crimes and domestic terrorism — whatever they need.”

Benson, a Fox News contributor and political editor of Townhall.com, responded to Ocasio-Cortez’s partisan accusation by reminding social media users that the Antifa member who was killed after trying to firebomb a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Portland, Ore., “echoed her exact rhetoric” on concentration camps in a manifesto he left behind.

“She’s a nonstop demagogic clown show,” Benson tweeted. “By her ludicrous standard, she’s ‘directly responsible’ for Antifa’s recent firebomb assault at an ICE facility. The assailant echoed her exact rhetoric in his manifesto. She might as well turn herself into authorities now. Lock her up?”

Benson’s assessment takes on added meaning as reports are now showing the El Paso gunman, while an anti-Hispanic racist, was an environmental extremist who embraced Eco-Fascism — Ocasio-Cortez is queen of the radical Green New Deal.

Here’s a sampling of responses to Benson’s take from Twitter:
