Former CNN host Soledad O’Brien is being raked over the coals after she joined her tone-deaf liberal colleagues in attacking supporters of President Trump.
O’Brien apparently thought she was being clever in her tweet mocking a “handful of Black people” who were spotted at Trump’s rally in Cincinnati, Ohio.
LOL. If you have to have the handful of Black people at your rally hold up t-shirts that say you’re not racist… chances are overwhelming that you’re racist. https://t.co/q1u5Piv6BN

She was responding to Marcus J. DiPaola who tweeted the photo of the dozen or so black supporters in attendance at the rally who were holding up t-shirts that read “Trump and Republicans are not racist.”

O’Brien was slammed just over a week after Bette Midler was torched for suggesting that the “African American men” in a photo at a Trump rally were paid props for the event “blackground.”
Bette Midler buried in backlash for racist tweet, reduces African American Trump supporters to the ‘blackground’ https://t.co/7B92zvhKv3

“Look, there are African American men in this shot! How much did he pay them to be ‘blackground?’” Midler tweeted to her nearly 1.7 million followers.
“How dare Midler dismiss these grown black men as props for hire, rather than sapient citizens who support the candidate of their choice?” Fox News contributor Deroy Murdock said, rebuking the 73-year-old entertainer, as did scores of others.
O’Brien, whose mother was Cuban and father was from Australia, was blasted for seeming to echo Midler’s racist narrative.
Isn’t this kinda what Bette Midler said last week

Look it’s another Bette Midler.

At Trump’s Cincinnatti rally on Thursday, HuffPost reporter Christopher Mathias caught the black supporters on video as they were cheered on by the crowd.
The few black Trump supporters here hold up “Trump and Republicans Are Not Racist” t-shirts and the crowd goes wild as Andrea Bocelli’s “Time To Say Goodbye” blares from the arena loudspeakers #Cincinnati pic.twitter.com/0edBWleLtg
— Christopher Mathias (@letsgomathias) August 1, 2019
“When the crowd finally packed inside the 17,500-seat arena, they loudly cheered on a dozen or so black Trump supporters holding up T-shirts emblazoned with the words ‘Trump and Republicans Are Not Racist.’ And when Trump finally took the stage a little after 7:00 p.m., he too acknowledged the tiny group of black supporters, looking over at them and briefly applauding.,” Mathias wrote. “The arena broke into another raucous cheer.”
Meanwhile, O’Brien’s tweet was just another example of the identity politics the left repeatedly plays but is clueless about. The Twitter pile-on was instant and well-deserved.
No, what’s racist is assuming this “handful of Black people” held up shirts because they were instructed to, and not because they THINK FOR THEMSELVES.
Once again, another Leftist shows off her racism and total lack of self-awareness. https://t.co/Q2gCyX1qK0

Imagine not even being black but subtly alluding to the idea that black conservatives are merely tokens.
The real racists are Leftists. https://t.co/vhf0CWDV5W

Why is it so difficult for you guys on the left to understand that people can hold a variety of political views regardless of skin color or gender or sexual orientation or any other characteristic that has absolutely nothing to do with how they think? https://t.co/zTSr277VVX
— Chad Felix Greene (@chadfelixg) August 2, 2019
LOL. If you keep pointing out a person’s color — You might be a racist. Here’s your sign.
— ChiefTruthSpecialist (@Judy_Taya) August 2, 2019
Soledad just made a racist statement and doesn’t even know it. The left is clueless.
— Susie D (@SusieD57) August 2, 2019
In one disgusting tweet, you erased agency from an entire group of people, arguing that due to nothing but their skin color, they’re clearly acting on someone else’s behalf, as surely, they couldn’t possibly think or do something because they wanted to. As if they’re children.
— Rachel ???? (@RaychelTania) August 2, 2019
LOL if you have to mock Black Trump supporters to feel like you have some kind of leverage…chances are overwhelming that you are a small, petty, ironically racist, apologist for the Leftist media.
— CarolinaConservative (@1776CC) August 2, 2019
A supposedly unbiased news anchor starts a tweet with LOL – proves she’s #OperationMockingbird ?
— Anti Corruption ⚖️ ? (@AuntyCorruption) August 2, 2019
“Uncle Tom”ing fellow citizens because they’re in the wrong tribe is so on brand for that racist.
— See Jack Run (@CrackaJackin) August 2, 2019
They have no idea how gross and smug they are assuming they own a minority group.
Democrats have never really changed. They just pretend their racism is ‘identity politics’ now.
