Trump tells C-Span why he’s upset with John Roberts and Fox News

President Donald Trump: “If I got fair coverage I wouldn’t even have to tweet. It’s my only form of defense.”

President Donald Trump called out the media’s anti-Trump bias, and says that if the press covered him fairly, he wouldn’t need to tweet as often as he does. But since the media coverage overwhelmingly focuses on negativity, Trump said Twitter is “his only form of defense” against fake news.

Trump made the remarks during an interview with C-Span. When asked about the left-wing outrage triggered by his tweets about the rat-and crime-infested Democratic city of Baltimore, Trump said he will continue to tweet to defend himself.

“If I got fair coverage I wouldn’t even have to tweet. It’s my only form of defense,” Trump said. “If the press covered me fairly I wouldn’t even need that, but they don’t cover me fairly…CNN is 100% negative. NBC is negative.”

While liberals think Fox News is monolithic in its political bias like left-wing CNN, that’s false. Fox News employs a number of Democratic Trump-haters like Shepard Smith, Juan Williams, and Chris Wallace.

So Fox News actually has diversity of opinion among its hosts, while CNN and MSNBC do not.

Also, the opinion hosts at Fox News (like Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity) do not hide their right-leaning bias, while CNN pretends its left-wing opinion hosts like Don Lemon, Anderson Cooper, and Chris Cuomo are straight news “journalists.” In reality, they are partisan pundits. That’s fine — but just be honest about it and stop gaslighting your viewers.

Trump pointed out that Fox News’ White House correspondent John Roberts focused on a single protester at a recent rally instead of the important issues he raised, like the booming Trump economy and the need for immigration reform.

“There was one protester who stood up…he held up a sign and he said whatever,” Trump recounted. “And it was on Fox with John Roberts. He talked about the protester for almost an entire segment of that. And I said, ‘Isn’t that a shame?’ One guy stands up, not an impressive person. He stood up and he got all of this attention. He took the whole thing away. One person.”

Fox News viewers may not be surprised to learn that John Roberts previously worked at CNN from 2006 to 2011. Before that, Roberts worked at CBS News. Roberts is married to ABC News reporter Kyra Phillips, who worked at CNN for 13 years.

While liberals claim that President Trump loves Fox News and vice-versa, he has criticized FNC when he believes it has covered him unfairly. This is a stark contrast to the eight years of gushing, positive coverage that left-wing media outlets CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, and NBC showered on Barack Obama when he was president.

The biased mainstream media has forever destroyed the myth of “objective journalism.”

As BizPac Review reported, a growing legion of Fox News fans are becoming increasingly alarmed at the left-wing direction that FNC has moved toward under the stewardship of founder Rupert Murdoch’s liberal sons, James and Lachlan Murdoch.

Recent FEC filings show that James Murdoch gave the maximum possible donation to 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg’s campaign. James is running Fox News along with his leftist brother Lachlan.
