If the biased anti-Trump obsession at CNN isn’t reason enough to question how the network is being managed, the hiring practices certainly adds to the mix.

CNN photo editor Mohammed Elshamy resigned late Thursday after a history of vile Jew-hating social media posts surfaced, including a tweet that appeared to celebrate the deaths of “Jewish pigs.”

The post is an apparent response to a March 23, 2011 bombing of a bus stop in Jerusalem that killed two people (not four) and injured another 39 people — including a 14-year-old girl who died six years later after lying unconscious all that time in the hospital.

GOP operative Arthur Schwartz brought the tweet to light, and that was far from the only one, as Schwartz shared another example of the anti-Semitic hate from Elshamy: “Israel is the main enemy for the people of Egypt and shall always remain rulers who lick Jewish legs.”

Schwartz tweeted: “How does someone like [Elshamy] who tweets things like this get through the hiring process at CNN? Asking for some friends.”

The exposure coming after CNN did a hit piece on former Fox News host Monica Crowley, who was hired to serve as assistant Treasury secretary for public affairs for the Trump administration, calling attention to Barack Obama’s alleged ties to Islam.

The hatchet job featured CNN’s KFile team, which Schwartz referenced in the tweet above.

It looks as if Elshamy scrambled to protect his Twitter feed, but was too late to have any success in hiding his disgusting, Jew-hating tweets from the past.

Through it all, Schwartz kept CNN abreast of the developments: “Hey @CNNPR. Why did [Elshamy] protect his twitter account? Because of his comments about “Jewish pigs” being killed by terrorists?

Schwartz had a little help with ensuring CNN was aware of who their Atlanta-based photographer was, as seen in the tweet below tagging network anchor Jake Tapper.

In the end, it was all too much to brush under the carpet, as the network announced that it had accepted Elshamy’s resignation letter.

The statement read: “The network has accepted the resignation of a photo editor, who joined CNN earlier this year, after anti-Semitic statements he’d made in 2011 came to light. CNN is committed to maintaining a workplace in which every employee feels safe, secure and free from discrimination regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation or religion.”

But then, social media assured that CNN had few options here.

Jordan Schachtel, of Conservative Review and Blaze Media, linked to a piece ran this week that featured Elshamy’s byline.

And it’s not like CNN missed a tweet or two here. Elshamy’s Twitter feed was littered with vile posts.

“CNN guy appears to have implicated himself in several terrorist acts,” Schachtel said in a post that showcased several more tweets from Elshamy.

As for how the Jew-hating journalist was received by the media industry, Elshamy received the Chris Hondros Fund Award in 2015 — the award was established in honor of the Pulitzer Prize-nominated photojournalist who was killed in April 2011, while on assignment in Libya.
