MSNBC continues to perpetuate false rumor Fox News will not offer live coverage of Mueller testimony

Well, one way to compete with Fox News is to convince people that the network is not covering a certain event guaranteed to draw the eyes on many across the country.

With former special counsel Robert Mueller set to appear before the Democrat-run House Intelligence and House Judiciary Committees on Wednesday, a peculiar habit of claiming Fox News is not going to cover Mueller’s testimony crept up.

Those seeking “fair and balanced” reporting can rest assured, the network will be there with bells on.

Not only will Fox News air special live coverage of the Mueller hearing beginning at 8 a.m., prime time heavy hitters Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum are anchoring their coverage.

Chris Wallace, Juan Williams, Katie Pavlich, Andrew McCarthy and Ken Starr are part of Fox News’ planned coverage, in addition to Baier and MacCallum.

Baier’s tweet above was in response to a tweet Sunday from MSNBC contributor Joyce Vance that claimed Fox News was not going to air the Mueller hearing.

“Fox isn’t showing Mueller’s testimony Wednesday,” the tweet read. “Trump is afraid of what will happen if his base gets to hear Mueller’s testimony for themselves.”

Vance, a former U.S. Attorney appointed by Obama, later deleted the tweet she said it was “intended ironically,” dismissing it as a joke that went awry, but not before it was “liked” nearly 20,000 times.

Yet, Tuesday morning on MSNBC, former Rep. Donna Edwards, D-Md., was repeating the falsehood that the network would not be airing live coverage.

“Fox News, for example, is not airing the Mueller testimony live,” Edwards said.

In this case, anchor Stephanie Ruhle interjected to correct her — which is more than the network was willing to do on Monday.

“Actually, I don’t believe that’s true, I think they are going to air it,” Ruhle said.

On Monday, rabid anti-Trump “Republican” Rick Wilson made the same false claim on MSNBC’s “Deadline: White House.”

The Trump Derangement Syndrome poster boy told anchor Nicole Wallace that Fox News will not be covering Wednesday’s hearing and she let the false statement stand.

“Fox isn’t covering the hearings,” Wilson said. “Which should also tell you how scared they are of what could happen on this morning. It’s going to be a very interesting and consequential moment. They’re apparently not going to take them live. Everybody else is taking them live.”

His remarks about what to expect on Wednesday in line with Democrats “generating false hope, and expectations that Donald Trump will be taken out of the White House in handcuffs, or impeached, or worse,” as Fox News host Sean Hannity stated.

Fox News contacted MSNBC and asked the network make an on-air correction, but MSNBC refused, Mediaite reported, citing a Fox News source.

Wilson later took to Twitter to note his error, complete with a juvenile attack on the president’s supporters — his calling card. The post was retweeted 216 times as of this writing, a far cry from the exposure his uninformed comment on national television received.
