Hannity plans to give GOP lawmakers a ‘tutorial’ on how to effectively grill Robert Mueller

Former special counsel Robert Mueller is set to appear before a joint committee in the House on Wednesday, ensuring the nation’s eyes will be on him as he testifies.

Par for the course, Democrats and Republicans will be pursuing their own agendas, but the GOP has a golden opportunity to expose the shady events that resulted in the FBI spying on President Donald Trump’s campaign, and to determine just how early Mueller realized there was no collusion between the campaign and Russia.

An opportunity Fox News host Sean Hannity doesn’t want to see slip away.

In fact, Hannity will go so far as to coach the Republican lawmakers who will be questioning Mueller.

“Tomorrow night on this program, I’m going to give a tutorial to those in Congress on the Republican side that will have an opportunity to question Mr. Mueller,” Hannity said on Monday’s show.

“I’m gonna give you my questions, and also the way I would ask them and the follow-ups that should be immediate,” he continued. “You only have 5 minutes. You’ve got to make it count. I will explain how I would do it if you’re interested.”

Mueller will testify before the House Judiciary and the House Intelligence Committees about his investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. Hannity tore into Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif, calling the chairman of the Intelligence Committee a “cowardly liar,” along with Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., chairman of the Judiciary Committee, saying the Democrats were “generating false hope, and expectations that Donald Trump will be taken out of the White House in handcuffs, or impeached, or worse.”

Schiff called President Trump an “unindicted co-conspirator” on Sunday, insisting “no president can be above the law.” Nadler echoed that sentiment in saying that the Mueller report shows Trump is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors.

“He is not an unindicted co-conspirator and no, if you read the Constitution, nothing that you are talking about represents high crimes or misdemeanors,” Hannity said in response to the charge. “None of it.”

He also exposed the Democratic party’s real agenda.

“And for Democrats, Mueller’s testimony is not about seeking the truth,” Hannity insisted. “They don’t want justice. They want another bite of the apple. The first four times that failed. They want it right. Maybe they believe their own lies at this point.”

Citing the Los Angeles Times, Hannity said the”last-ditch smear effort against Donald Trump is politically motivated.”

“And it is,” he continued. “After all, the special counsel’s report has been out there for months. Mueller said his writing will speak for itself.”

The Fox News host said that will be Mueller’s opening remarks Wednesday, that his testimony will echo what was in the report.

“In other words, we will learn nothing,” Hannity said. “In two short days we’ll know if Robert Mueller is a man of his word or if he will flip, flop and flail and have Attorney General [William] Barr bail him out again.”

“Either way, Republicans, they have an amazing opportunity to seek answers on some very important issues and questions,” he concluded.
