Karma: 20-year-old who drove through barbed-wire to vandalize Trump sign leaves BIG chunk of evidence

Critics of President Donald Trump are not always the brightest.

A 20-year-old anti-Trumper in Georgia is facing criminal charges after vandalizing a Donald Trump 2020 reelection sign.

But it wasn’t a witness or the surveillance video of the crime that led Cobb County police straight to Azaria Moore, it was her car which she left behind when it got stuck, according to WSB-TV.

“It really irritates me. I believe people should be able to protest, but not on my property, you know?” George Bentley, the owner of the sign displayed on his property overlooking North Marietta Parkway told WSB-TV’s Matt Johnson.

Bentley took precautions to protect his sign from vandals, including surrounding it with a barbed-wire fence. As a Trump supporter, he wanted to show his support for the president’s re-election campaign.

“It’s a free country, and we love America, and we’re happy with the guy that’s in there now,” Bentley said. “We want him to be elected again in 2020, and we wanted to give our support for him.”

But what the homeowner didn’t expect was what happened next, as security cameras captured the moment Moore drove her car through the barbed wire fence around 1:00 a.m. Monday, knocking over a brightly-colored cube before getting out of the car and spray-painting the Trump sign.

“That’s pretty strong for it to bother you something like this,” Bentley’s girlfriend, Dee Corson, said.

The couple discovered the vandalized sign when they woke up later in the morning. They also discovered Moore’s vehicle, apparently abandoned when she could not get it back through the fence.

“If the car hadn’t been here with the tag on it, and we just had video of the person, it would have been really tough [to identify her],” Bentley said.

Police were able to locate Moore and charged her with criminal trespass and failure to report a crash. Bentley is hoping the charges against the vandal will send a clear message in light of the damage done to his property, which he estimated to be thousands of dollars.

“We’re sorry you don’t like it. Go to your place and do your own display, but leave ours alone,” he said.

The WSB-TV reporter apparently reached out to Moore who declined comment other than to say she could face five years in prison if she is convicted.

Twitter users weighed in on the left’s double standard as they seek to silence views that differ from their own.
